Helping Families in Need

Families with sick children often forego basic utilities and other necessities in
order to pay for treatments and medications.

Greek Childrens Fund of Florida is a valuable resource, providing these

families with gift cards to local retail outlets or paying bills when a need is
identified. On average this fiscal year, quarterly distributions for gift cards,
utility, and living expenses by the fund are approximately $7,000.
P.A.L.S. Program
Since 2015, Greek Childrens
Fund of Florida has provided a
total of $20,000 to support the
P.A.L.S. Program at Johns
Hopkins All Childrens Hospital
P.A.L.S. currently runs seven
social skills groups and serves
68 children weekly. Every nine
months, 70 patients graduate
from the program
Participants learn how to be part
of a group, monitor and adapt
their behavior in social settings,
and use effective and
appropriate conversations skills.

Parent & Teen Advisory Councils
These two councils were formed
to give our patients and families
their own voice and help us
improve our brand of
compassionate care on issues
such as programs, spaces, and
processes.

Currently, 12 teens and 15 parents

participate on the councils. The
councils are scheduled to meet 10
2017 Teen Advisory Council
times per year.

A gift of $6,250 will offset the cost

of transportation, supply a meal
during the meetings, and provide
a small stipend for each member.
