Think-a-loud:
1. What do you know about ethics?
2. What have you heard about ethics?
3. Have you ever been in an ethical dilemma?
4. What was the ethical dilemma in this video?
5. Why did her actions matter?
Application:
Students will research a company of choice and identify the companys code of ethics. With a partner,
students will use a Venn Diagram to compare and contrast the behaviors addressed in each companys
code of ethics.
Closure
Regroup-discuss company code of ethics found.
Students will complete an assignment for assessment.
ASSESSMENT
Diagnostic:
Think-a-loud:
1. What do you know about ethics?

Formative:
Formative assessment will be conducted as students read and discuss concepts in the text. If students
do not understand a concept, further explanation and clarification will be given.
Summative:
Students will identify specific workplace scenarios and determine if they are ethical or unethical.

EXTENTED ACTIVITIES
If Student Finishes Early
Students who finish early can continue to conduct further research on business code of ethics.
If Lesson Finishes Early
If the lesson finishes early, students will go through a series of ethical dilemmas to determine what
action could be taken and if that would be ethical or unethical.
If Technology Fails
If technology fails, I will provide students with hard copies of business code of ethics to compare and
contrast.
