Holden Australia 1856 to 2017 Thank you for creating an Aussie legend.
Holden fans around the world will keep the legend alive.
NEWCASTLE TIN RUN 2017
What a great day! Yes numbers were down due to the conflict with Bathurst but those who
attended had a great day, we raised about $1500 and an estimated ton of food for Soul
cafe. The auction went very well and those who came along supported the charity
enthusiastically.
Thanks to Wolfys, Autobarn, Supercheap Glendale, Frontline Hobbies and NRMA for their
support and Newcastle weekly, NBN television and 2NURFM for the coverage and
promotion of the day.
Its time to start planning next years event so we need a committee to get the ball rolling
for this fantastic day.

Sat 21/10/17 Karuah Oyster and Timber Festival.
We had 4 cars on display and had a relaxing day and even came away with a Team Holden
trophy, a great day had by all.

Upcoming events
See the event calendar.
Sunday 12th November, Club Christmas party and presentation day.
Paterson Park, Numbers will be required for catering purposes, also as usual we will have a
secret Santa so ladies bring a ladies gift and gents bring a gents gift valued at $15, the club
will provide gifts for under 12s.
Catering will be provided for members and direct family, guests are welcome but it would
be appreciated if they pay $15 or bring their own food and drinks (club will provide water).
RSVP strictly, Monday 6th November 5pm.

Autobarn Warners Bay are trying to organise a couple of open days to coincide with the
Supercars in November. They are proposing to have Craig Lowndes visit and having a
driving simulator set up in the Good Guys store.
Charlie has asked if we could bring the rocker cover track so I may be looking for a couple of
helpers on the Weds 23rd or Thurs 24th Nov. More info to come when things are confirmed.

December 10th. Maddie Hill breast cancer day,

Newcastle Go-Kart track, Cameron Park.
Is shaping up to be another top day and we will be running the Rocker cover racing on the
day so I will need a couple of helpers to run that. It would be great to see the club get
behind this and support Maddie and Barry who do so much for the car community.

Friday Chill Commencing 12 Jan 2018
Come down each Friday 6.30pm to 8.30pm at Pacific Park, Newcastle, to hear
local musicians perform. Bring your picnic rug, drinks, snacks and friends down for a good
time! Donations collected go to the work of Soul Cafe.
