Embers of Hate

It's September 11th ,2001 in New York City, the first airplane collides with the Northern

Twin Tower at 8:40am and created sparks igniting the hot blue flames for prejudice groups

towards Middle Easterners. Al Qaeda terrorists were responsible for the attacks and hijackings

that day. Al Qaedas Leader, Osama Bin Laden, sat back and watched as Americans were being

slayed by these suicide attacks, knowing that he would compromise our national security

creating a sense of trepidation, and he would start war. Many Americans began to perceive

anyone who was Muslim as a terrorist. A wall of hate was built soon after the attacks. Nobody

felt safe around Muslims considering they just executed nearly 3,000 Americans.

September 11th, 2001 in a home in Charleston, West Virginia. The morning was ordinary

as Charlotte Cales finished a conference packet in her home office. The television was on when

an unexpected event took place. This was just the beginning, watching the television as people's

eyes were filling with dismay as the North World Trade Center tower was struck with a large jet

that was en route from Boston heading to Los Angeles. A freak accident was suspected during

the time of the 1st crash, but the 3 attacks occurring shortly after confirmed this was no accident.

Charlotte recalled that People of the United States lost all feelings of being safe in the United

States that day (Cales).

Many Americans do not understand that just because the 19 terrorists who conducted the

attacks were part of an Extremist group, Al Qaeda, does not mean all of those who participate in

Islamic beliefs are terrorists. Islamophobia is fear, prejudiced, or hate focused to harm those with

association of Muslim beliefs or Islamic associations (Islamophobia 101). Prejudice consist of

preconceived mindsets and/or stereotypes. Since the 9-11 attacks a rise in stereotypization of the

particular group has rose in the U.S. creating havoc for those of the Middle East trying to escape

the war torn countries. Americans should not let this happen in the U.S. or anywhere in the

world. The 14th Dalai Lama made the statement of Buddhist terrorist. Muslim terrorist. That

wording is wrong. Any person wants to indulge in violence is no longer genuine Buddhist as

well as the genuine Muslim. Because in Muslim teaching that once you are involved in

bloodshed you are no longer a genuine practitioner of Islam (Danai Lama). America needs to

take advantage of this statement and realize the treatment of its immigrants is beyond okay.

In results of many events since 9-11 once again caused by extremists of the Middle

Eastern States, President Donald J. Trump issued a travel ban affecting 6 states of the Middle

East. Although this ban was for 90 consecutive days, it caused many problems throughout the

U.S. and is often considered an act of hate. This is what Al Qaeda wanted, they wanted America

to fear them for the remainder of time. Al Qaeda hates the U.S. that's a fact, Al Qaeda is not a

Islamic terrorist group, they are a terrorist group, they have committed bloodshed, therefore they

are not Islamic.I think Islam hates us (Schleifer, Theodore,Donald Trump). From President

Trumps perspective, Islamic members are monsters. It's the other way around, America is the

monster. In America hate crimes against Muslims have increased since the attacks of 9-11. Many

Mosques have have been burnt down as an act of hate towards Muslims. A Mosque is place in

which Muslims practice their religion. Lately in Sacramento California, hate crimes have been at

a constant speed, brick by brick, the wall of hate is being built. Outside of a Mosque, a burnt

Quran, the holy book of Islam, was found outside of the building. The Quran is very holy to

Muslims, so when they saw it out, they started to collect the pages and to get it off the ground as

a [sign] of respect, said ElKarra (CBS Sacramento). Muslims come to the United States to

escape the war torn countries, they want to live somewhere safe to raise a family, and they want

somewhere free of threats. America needs to be a safe haven for those who need to call it home,

right now it is anything but welcoming or safe, in some cases.

The events of 9-11 affected everyone in the U.S. It created Prejudice thoughts among

anyone who associated with the Middle East. Why are hate crimes being made against Muslims,

Muslims has nothing to do with 9-11. Terrorist have no religion ( Danai Lama), therefore the

people who carried out the attacks of 9-11 had no religion, so why does America hold Muslims

accountable for the attacks? America must end this hate not only against Muslims, but against

everyone and everything. Since 9-11 we have once again started to become Divided States of

America instead of the United States of America just like the times of segregation in the past

U.S. history. Present day America post 9-11 is crumbling apart, cracking at the seams, if

something doesn't change America will absolutely have no future. President George W. Bush

said in response of 9-11 Terrorist attacks can shake the foundations of our biggest buildings, but

they cannot touch the foundation of America. These acts shatter steel, but they cannot dent the

steel of American resolve (9-11 Timeline). America must put out these embers of hate.
