I feel like visiting this exhibition and having contact with the artist gave me an idea of how a natures artist life is. The combination of different factors made me feel this way: - Listen to the inspirational ideas that leads her to creation. - She exhibits her journals, and let the public see how she start working her ideas. And how she let herself fail in here to succeed in the final work. - Look to the transformation of the artist work by observing 2 very different series of art pieces. And also see how there are things that remain constant: the use of different textures and colorful creations. - Listen to the testimony of how her past job had influenced her current installations - Listen to how her daily life routine All this was inspirational and soothing. I think that the change from one work to another is an evidence of how an artist mind evolve.
Everything is Being Perfected- Neil McClelland
Appealing places that I wish to visit. While keep looking to this scenes, suddenly the presence of something disrupting makes evident. Now I feel intrigued. What is exactly happening? This leads me to create many mental stories trying to explain whats going on. And that keeps me looking to the art pieces for long time. The painting technique is impressive.
Madrona Gallery Many artists
In this place I felt in presence of art really influenced by Canadian culture. This is elicited by the subject matter that many artists selected: Canadian animals and native people. The curatorial job is something remarkable. The distribution of the works, gives the proper importance to each one of them. You can feel the presence of all, even when some are smaller. Also the distribution of the works mixing different techniques gives diversity to the exhibit.
Megan Dickies One way or another
The playfulness present on the works is what first attracts me to the artist works. The movement in all her pieces and echo created between each other stimulates my mind to make connections. The selection of a feminine figure for her works is not casual. The combination of an impeccable look with a dynamic personality sends a potent message.
