Interview
What drew you to be an Evaluation Commissioner at IAO?

From my early age, my thoughts drove me to work towards education and the
betterment of education standards that enrich the lives of the students. It was
a privilege for me to be an Evaluation Commissioner for International
Accreditation Organization [IAO] which is a renowned quality assurance
agency working to improve the educational standards of educational
organizations like Universities, Government Colleges, Partial Government
Institutes & State Colleges, and Private Institutes, worldwide.

Which important opportunities do you see for the educational institutes in

your region?

To achieve an accreditation from globally-renowned quality assurance agency,

I believe that there are multiple benefits for the educational institutes in India.
Accreditations benefit institutes for global standards, academic programs,
curriculum, discipline, a defined delivery system and training methodology.
Accreditation helps to ensure that an educational institution has qualified
faculty, rigorous curriculum, high academic standards and proper assessment
of learning processes in place.

How can accreditation from a renowned agency, such as IAO, contribute to an educational institutes success? How can it help
an institute achieve higher standards in education?

There are multiple benefits to have an accreditation from a globally-renowned quality. The most important benefit is that an institute
gains a unique position among other institutions. Secondly, faculty and staff members have much higher chances of growing their
career and enhance their skills while working with peers. Faculty members have greater access to business community and they teach
with pride about their school being internationally recognized.

Accreditation from IAO helps

Institutions Such As:
a. Accreditation from a prestigious body like the IAO ensures that the academic programs offered by the institute are relevant, credible
and recognized. Also, it has talented, experienced faculty, industry defined syllabus, state of the art infrastructure with technology-based
content, delivery mediums and a vibrant, dynamic environment that serves to enhance students learning experiences.

b. In India now, students have a well-defined objective: to get a highly rewarding & career-oriented job with a reputed organization. And
thats possible only when they graduate or complete their education from an IAO-accredited institution. Moreover, they wish to
graduate with the requisite skills and qualifications to survive and excel in todays fiercely competitive business environment.

c. Today, parents want the best for their children. Every parent wants to prepare their children for the competitive business world with
proper qualifications and skills. Accreditation for colleges & institutes is the most important feature as it helps students to choose the
best among others with an international accreditation. By choosing an IAO accredited institute or college, helps them to be assured
that an educational institution has qualified faculty, rigorous curriculum, high academic standards and proper assessment of learning
processes in place.

d. A professional counselor always insist to help students graduate or complete their career programs from a college or institute having
a good reputation which drives them to a successful career path. A college accredited with IAO gives an institute, a global assurance,
that it produces top quality undergraduate, graduate, masters and doctorate degrees that have global recognition.

Students need to initiate learning and maintain engagement during learning to

Its very vital to maintain a positive interpersonal attitude among students, faculty and institute, which directly contributes to the progress

Behavior Management in
Classroom and School
One of the massive challenges of being a teacher is dealing with student
behavior. Positive or a negative behavior of a single student affect the class as a Effective ways to manage

classroom environment conducive to learning for all students. In this article, we
behavior in the classroom
will discuss some major behavior management strategies that teachers can use
to keep the classroom in order.

How to deliver sanctions?

To effectually deliver sanctions, the message needs to be simple, clear and firm as it is easy to get caught up in prolonged arguments
or conflict. Emphasis on moving in, delivering your sanction as discreetly as possible and then move out quickly. Pick a phrase that you
will be able to withdraw which includes I need to see you working the same way you were in yesterdays written task, thank you for
listening or I will come back and definitely give you feedback on your work within 5 to 10 minutes.

Try to avoid waiting around the students to transform their behavior proximately; they may need some space and time to choose what
is better for them independently. Meanwhile, engage another student in a constructive conversation or move across the room to
answer the question and only check back once the students are settled. No one likes receiving penalties and the longer the
communication the more chance of a self-justifying reaction or escalation. Get in, convey the message and get off with dignity
speedily, competently and without persistence.

Regional accreditation bodies have dutifully evaluated education providers on a regional scale and granted them Primary Accreditation.
However, the rapid growth of globalization calls for a global entity which can evaluate them against internationally proven standards of
education and grant them an internationally recognized Secondary Accreditation. IAO provides international accreditation to the
education providers to serve as secondary accreditation, enhance the entity's regional accreditation and assures stakeholders that the
educational program, policies and procedures of the institute, university and school are up to the international standards of quality.

have LinkedIn profiles with multiple contacts. Do connect to
as many people as you can.

Most students figure that because they already have an

account on Facebook, they are socialized enough. But the fact
is most of the employers look in LinkedIn profile to search for
a candidate. It actually looks good if an employer would be
able to find you on LinkedIn as it is a network designed only
for professionals.

Establish A Presence On
WordPress Or Through Your Own Blog
According to one of the survey, only one in nine students has a presence on WordPress. It is the best site to generate your
personal blog.

Now the important question is what should your blog express? If you dont know what career path you want to choose in the
future, pick a personal interest and write about it.

Get an internship as early as possible

Like establishing a LinkedIn Profile and blog is important, it is believed that it is never too early to start getting internships. According
to a survey, students are aware of the value of internships but they are falling to land them. 85% of the students said that they believe
having an internship is either important or very important for their career, 52% said that they wish to have 3 or even more months
internship before graduating. However, only 40% had done at least one internship after graduating.

It is good for a student to have internships early on with companies that have brand recognition. For example, if a student has complet-
ed an internship in Reebok, he will be convinced that having the Reebok name mentioned on his resume can help him land good jobs
in future.

Get Creative about Finding a Mentor

Forbes, an American Business Magazine reported in a survey that, 70% of the students had at least one mentor, 37% of them said that
their parents are their mentors, while 28% said that they relied on a professor. 21% said they used a family member or friend and 17%
said their current or former employer was their mentor. Only 10% said they found a mentor through social networking sites.

It is understandable why students turn to their parents, family and friends, but it recommendable making use of social network to
search for a mentor, unless your parents are working in a field you want to pursue.

It is advisable to find someone who is doing what you want to do. Search more thoroughly on LinkedIn for the organization and field
where you wish to work. For example, if you want to work in advertisement and MTV is your dream company, enter keywords to search
and see who comes up. Or else if you are more interested in Human Resource and you fantasize about working in Google, search with
those words. Try to connect with them via LinkedIn or any other platform. It is potentially difficult but if you get one mentor, it can
change everything for you.

Prepare and Design Your CV Carefully

It is quite difficult to imagine how many resumes an HR Executive, recruitment manager or headhunter have to read each day but its a
lot. Thus, it is really important for you to create an impactful resume to impress the employers.

Make your resume is easy to read and eye-catching. However, there are certain steps you need to follow to make sure that you are on
the right track.

First of all, proofread your resume or make it proofread by some professional. Errors in the resume are inexcusable, a potential employer
will interpret these as careless mistakes and lack in attention to detail.

Secondly, keep it simple. You should keep everything consistent such as spacing, font size and style, and formatting. The perfect CV
should not be more than 2 pages. Make sure you summarize all experiences and abilities to make it short and readable.

Use Your Schools Career Service Office

Although this seems like the clearest way to get career assistance, the study tells that only 29% of the students use their college career
office. There are some schools and universities that may connect you with the alumni who works in the field of your interest and may
assist you to get a good job. Moreover, career offices assist students with resume and cover letter writing and job interview preparations.

Conclusion
The fact is that there are thousands of fresh graduates that are experiencing the same thing. With over 200 applicants applying for the
same job, owners are scrambling to select candidates that they feel are the best to work for their organizations. Unfortunately, if you
look at this problem rationally, there may be a good chance that your resume gets overlooked based on the number of resumes
companies receive per day. Increase your chances to get a good job by implementing the strategies mentioned above.

Dont get frustrated, because job hunting is an overwhelming job itself. You need to work hard and keep yourself calm and patient to
achieve something better for future.
