more about the literary field and will make a reliable and enthusiastic member of any team. I
would love the opportunity to work with an agency so well-regarded within the literary
community.

Work/Volunteer Experience:

Youth Volunteer Guide, Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium, Tacoma WA (Summer 2013-14)
-Responsible for communicating a large variety of information in different ways to suit the
varied interests of park visitors. The position also involved a lot of team building skills and
cooperation amongst staff members. The Youth Volunteer Team was held to a high standard of
dress, punctuality and conduct which I met without fail during my time at PDZA.

helpfulness and intuitiveness while assisting with the zoo-run summer camps.

-Responsible for both administrative and community building tasks including filling out
paperwork, creating appealing promotional material for events and interacting regularly with
residents. I have been tasked with keeping track of deadlines and often have multiple projects
going at the same time, which has helped me form strong time-management skills and to become
a self-motivator. I am regularly called upon to work both independently and as part of a staff
community. In order to best serve residents, RAs must be approachable, knowledgeable and
reliable. I am also responsible for routine event planning and mass-communications informing
residents about upcoming events, opportunities and resources in engaging and creative ways.
