First Love
Love is a butterfly
It feels like you can fly high
But it can also be a poison
My heart and brain were in a collision
She picked the one with the silver spoon
Both laughing is not my favorite tune
Complexion of peaches and cream
Day and night she would gleam

Every compliment digs me deeper

I may be cheaper,
But I treat better
His goal was only to steal her
The man she now loves was the enemy
The criminal of the one I loves heart was he
The boy that met evil was me
I sit now in the throne of loneliness
Slowly becoming an insomniac
Walking gold calling her sweetness
Although people say Im as sharp as a tack

It just wasnt enough to woo,

One I thought I would call boo
Hoping one day I could be a hard carrier
There was an invisible barrier
Our relationship was a cypher
My wood was missing its lighter
Should I accept that it wasnt true
I guess I was destined to be blue
I thought love was as delicate as a dove
Then again this was my first love

Love is a butterfly- love is delicate, if you let it go it will fly away (Metaphor)
My heart and brain were in a collision-Having internal conflict about the girl (Hyperbole)
Complexion of peaches and cream- clear, smooth, pale skin (Metaphor)
Walking gold- a wealthy person (Hyperbole)
As sharp as a tack- clever or smart (Simile)
Hard carrier- champion/ hero who doesnt need to be looked after (Metaphor))
Invisible barrier- the speaker thinks that there are physical obstacles, but in reality its all in their head
(Hyperbole)
As delicate as a dove- Be careful and take care of the love you posses (Simile)
