You are hearing the voice of the Angels transmitting to the world a New Message from God
through their messenger, Marshall Vian Summers.
As Revealed to
Marshall Vian Summers
on November 18, 2008
in Seattle
When people begin to consider that there is a New Message from God in the world, one of the first
questions that they will consider is whether this is honest and real and whether the Messenger who
has been sent into the world to present this New Message is honest and authentic. So honesty here is
a very important question because there is so much that is done in the name of religion and
spirituality that is not honest and that is not authentic.
Many people claim to be bringing Divine messages into the world, and so when a real Divine
message comes into the world, it is met with suspicion and ridicule and avoidance. People claim
that it is false because there is so much else that is false, and they do not want to be deceived. They
do not want to give themselves to something that in the end proves to be unreal and dishonest.
Here you must consider honesty in its truest sense, at its deepest level. It is not enough to say that
you are expressing your feelings and are therefore being honest, for your feelings may not be
honest. You may claim you are expressing your views and that you are being honest in doing this,
but if your views are really not honest within yourself, then you are merely spreading or projecting
your own dishonesty in your communications with others.
People may feel that they are expressing their emotions and that that is honest, but people can use
their emotions to hurt others. They can use their emotions to condemn, criticize and ridicule others,
and that is not really honest. Here We must take honesty to another level, a deeper level, at the level
of Knowledge within yourself.
Knowledge is the deeper mind that God has placed within you—to guide you, to protect you and to
lead you to a greater accomplishment in life. If what you are feeling, thinking and expressing is
really not in keeping with Knowledge within yourself, then it is not really honest. If what you are
thinking and saying does not have your heart in it, it is really not honest. Perhaps it is the normal
thing to say, the expected thing to say. Perhaps that is how you feel in the moment. But if it is really
not authentic in your experience, then it is not really honest.
Ultimately, whether God’s New Message is real or not must be discerned at this deeper level.
People will dismiss and condemn the New Message based upon their ideas, based upon their
skepticism, based upon their fear of having to deal with something of this magnitude, based upon
their own prejudices against religion itself or prejudices in favor of a particular teaching or tradition.
But this is not really honest, you see, for they are not considering the merit and the reality of God’s
New Message at a deeper level. They are only dismissing it or criticizing it at the level of their
ideas, which may have nothing to do with their deeper experience at all.
This is a difficult matter because there are so many layers of dishonesty all around you and, to a
certain extent, even within you that trying to see what is real and authentic becomes a very
challenging thing. That is why We do not ask anyone to believe this is God’s New Message without
doing this deeper evaluation within themselves. For simply to believe in something because it looks
good is really not honest because it lacks this deeper evaluation. To adhere to something simply
because you think it will reward you is not really honest because that is not an honest relationship.
That is not a relationship based upon true recognition and affinity.
You live in a world immersed in layers of dishonesty, where people are not only dishonest with
each other, they are really not honest with themselves except on rare occasions. Their thinking and
the deeper mind within them are not in resonance and are not in harmony with one another. So after
while, people do not know what to think. They do not know what is real. They do not know what is
authentic, and so they go along with what everything else thinks. They go along with the consensus
viewpoint. They say, “Oh yes, this is real,” but only because so many people think it is real. Or they
say, “This is not real” because what they are considering has very little agreement concerning it. So
when a real Message from God arrives, it is immediately disputed and denied.
People say, “Oh, well, God gave all God’s Messages long ago. There is no need for a new one,” as
if God has lost interest in humanity and has nothing more to reveal to humanity. People say, “There
is only one true faith,” as if God only had one Message to deliver and has been neglecting humanity
ever since. Some people say, “Oh, well, this can’t be real because the Messenger is not performing
miracles,” as if performing miracles is a sign of Divine right and responsibility.
None of these responses are honest, for in each case the person has not deeply considered what is
before them. They have not investigated and studied the New Message from God. They have not
considered it within an open mind, to see why such a Message would be sent into the world at this
time and what it is really there to communicate. So they are not being honest, and as a result they
project their dishonesty upon the New Message from God, proclaiming that it is false, that it is
dishonest, that it is not authentic—when in truth they do not even know what they are looking at.
They cannot see it. They could not see the truth if their life depended upon it. They only see what
they want to see. They only see what they already believe and try to use everything they perceive to
support and validate their preconceived ideas.
To recognize this as God’s New Message immediately invokes a sense of responsibility. If this is
really the real thing, what does it mean for you? What is your relationship with it? Do you have a
responsibility to learn it, to study it, to apply it and to support it? This is not merely some plaything,
something to dabble with, something to experiment with or to try to unite with other things that you
find interesting. If this is really God’s New Message, this is really it! This asks you to be honest in
what you see and in what you do as a result of this encounter.
In this sense, God’s New Message reveals the many layers of dishonesty that exist throughout
human society and that permeate the minds and beliefs of people. All of God’s previous Messages
have been repudiated and denied for the very same reasons. People do not want to be faced with
something so challenging. They do not want to have to rethink their position and reconsider their
ideas and beliefs.
In this case, God’s New Message asks you to do a great deal. It places a great requirement upon you
to become honest about your thinking, your feelings and your activities. It challenges your ideas
and preconceived notions. It, in effect, is asking you to be fundamentally very honest with yourself
about everything you think and everything you do. That is what it means to learn and live The Way
of Knowledge.
In addition, God’s New Message presents challenges to humanity that most people are unaware of
and unprepared for—the challenge of facing the great environmental change that is coming to the
world and the challenge of facing intervention from races from the universe who are here to take
advantage of a weak and divided humanity. These are immense challenges. They are the greatest
challenges that have ever faced the human family as a whole!
This is a tremendous thing to face, to deal with and to contemplate. If you do not want to deal with
it, you will not want God’s New Message in your life. You will want to dismiss it, repudiate it or
accuse it of being inauthentic or dishonest when in fact, in this case, it is you who is being
dishonest. It is you who is not facing something that must be faced. It is you who is not bringing an
honest evaluation to the situation here.
So the question is: Can God’s New Message be honestly considered? Can it be honestly studied?
Can it be honestly applied? Can it be honestly supported? These are all thresholds of honesty, you
see. People may want God to do many things for them—to bring them love and happiness and to
assure them of employment, health and well-being—but they rarely want God to ask anything of
them. It is all a one-way relationship, you see.
Until you realize and begin to consider that you are here for a greater purpose and that you have
been sent into the world for a greater purpose, you will tend to want God to do favors for you—as if
God were your little errand boy—and not seriously consider what God wills for you to do, what
God has designed you to do and the purpose that has sent you into the world, to face the world
under these very circumstances that God’s New Message is revealing.
Not wanting to deal with something that is real and urgent and that has your name on it is
fundamentally dishonest. It is a rejection of reality. It is a rejection of your own deeper experience.
It is a rejection of your responsibilities. And it is a rejection of a fundamental relationship that you
have with God that is expressed and experienced through the power and the presence of Knowledge
within you. Here you are not giving your power away to God. Instead, you are accepting the power
that God has placed within you. And you are accepting it without deception, without manipulation
and without trying to use it to get what you want and to avoid things in life.
The whole problem, then, of your ability to recognize God’s New Message is a problem concerning
honesty—self-honesty. Here you must recognize that who you are is not just your opinions or your
views or even your adamant beliefs. For who you are is not the mind—the surface mind that has
been conditioned by the world. Who you are is not this. You did not come into this world with this
mind. And when you leave this world, you will leave much of these thoughts behind. So who are
you really if you are not your mind? Who and what are you really?
If you can observe your mind objectively, clearly it cannot be you. People are lost at the surface of
their mind, and they do not know what is beneath the surface. Staying constantly stimulated out on
the surface, they know nothing about themselves. They are strangers to themselves. So how can
they honestly evaluate anything if they are unaware of the greater intelligence that God has placed
within them? They will be governed by opinion, by prejudice and by consensus. They will believe
what they are taught to believe or what they think they should believe to have the approval of
others. And there is nothing honest about that.
People struggle to find real honesty in their relationships with one another. Yet they perform for one
another. They try to please one another. They try to hide their faults and their weaknesses from one
another. They can be together for years and years and have no real sense of who the other person is.
Though there are people close by, they will remain alone and unknown. This is the sad condition of
humanity. To become honest about this is a real breakthrough because you stop pretending. You
stop performing. You recognize how you are deceiving yourself and other people by your ideas and
your social behavior.
This, though it is disturbing and discouraging, is a real breakthrough for you. It means you are
breaking through from the surface of your life. It is at the surface that the world dominates you,
your fears dominate you and your needs dominate you. But deeper down you are not dominated
because Knowledge within you is not dominated by the world. It is not afraid of the world. It is not
desperately seeking love, approval and validation. Instead, it is here on a mission to accomplish
certain things in concert with certain individuals. You as an individual were designed for this
mission. But this mission exists beyond the realm and the reach of your intellect, so you cannot stay
at the surface and find out what it is. You must go deeper within yourself.
As you learn to do this by taking the steps to Knowledge, you find out that your real feelings about
things are different than what you thought. And in most cases, your deeper feelings are different
than what you thought they were. This is a revelation—a shocking revelation—that your thinking
was a replacement for your deeper experience in so many cases. How you really felt about yourself,
what you really knew about your relationships, what you really knew about your work and activities
in the world were very different than what you might have told yourself in your attempt to reassure
yourself and to fortify your previous decisions.
When you begin to enter the deeper realms of the mind, that is when you find out what real honesty
is—what is true to your deeper nature, what holds true to the deeper current of your life. Here what
is fashionable, what is expected of you, what you are conditioned to believe and to do, to think and
not to think, are surpassed. Beneath the turbulent surface of your mind there is a great well of
silence. It is here that you find peace and reprieve. Yet is also here that you begin to experience the
deeper current of your life that is flowing deeply within you like the water flowing beneath the
desert surface. Where everything appears to be arid on the surface, there is the purest water flowing
deep down underground.
It is like this for you. At the surface, your life is barren, rich or poor. You are without direction. You
are without purpose. You cannot feel and know what you deeply feel and know, so your life is
barren. When you begin to tell the truth about your experience, you will see that it is barren. Even if
you have achieved all of your avowed goals, you are empty because you are only living at the
surface. You have not found the deeper current of your life and the greater direction that is waiting
for you to discover.
Therefore, honesty is a difficult subject because it all depends on the range of your own experience,
your courage and your integrity. When you make a proclamation or a judgment, ask yourself, “Am I
really being honest with myself in making this proclamation or this judgment?” In considering the
New Message from God that is now in the world, ask yourself, “Am I honestly considering this?”
Ask yourself, “Am I really being honest in my relationships?” Ask yourself, “Am I really being
honest regarding my work?” Ask yourself, “Do I really know how I feel about my relationships?”
Do you see? These questions are asking you to go deeper within yourself. They are not merely
skimming the surface of your mind. You are recognizing that honesty does not exist only at the
surface. It requires a deeper resonance within yourself, a deeper evaluation of what you are
considering and the decisions that you feel you have to make.
Honesty here is not what you tell yourself. It is what you know within yourself, what you feel most
deeply, what your deeper conscience is telling you—not your social conscience, not all of the social
conditioning that tells you what to believe, what not to believe, what is real, what is not real and all
of that. No. There is a deeper conscience within you that knows when something is right and
something is wrong. No matter what you tell yourself or what other people tell you, you know when
something is right and when something is wrong. This is Knowledge. Knowledge is a deeper
conscience within you.
But Knowledge is greater than this. It is a purpose. It is a direction. It is a relationship with those
who sent you into the world. It is a fundamental responsibility in being in life. It is a profound sense
of yourself and a profound recognition of others. It is the truth that resonates within you and from
you. It is the truth that can resonate through other minds. It is the source of true creativity. It is a
contribution to humanity. It is at the heart of all the great contributions that have ever been given, in
every field of endeavor. It is a greater power and a greater truth within you, waiting to be
discovered.
Do not claim that you are being honest. Do not claim that you are being honest with yourself until
you have connected with Knowledge within yourself. For until then, it will only be what you think
is being honest, and you will be unsure. Be careful here, for it is so very easy to fool yourself. It is
so very easy to just fall in line with your social conditioning or the expectations of others. It is so
easy to be afraid of going against the prejudices of your group, your family or those whom you seek
to impress. It is so easy to be lazy and indolent and just express the consensus view.
You are going to have to really work now, and that is what the New Message requires of you. It is
not simply a form of spiritual welfare, where you go and you collect whatever you need whenever
you need it. No, this is a demand upon you and upon humanity. God’s New Message is a warning, a
blessing and a preparation. It will require real work and self-honesty to discern its meaning and its
immense importance for the world at this time.
Do not dispute this until you have really investigated the New Message from God. Do not proclaim
it is just another teaching until you have investigated it and begun to apply it in your life. Because
until you do this, you really do not know what it is. It would be more honest to say, “I really don’t
know what this is,” than to make any other claims regarding it.
In fact, it would be more honest for you to say that you do not know what a lot of other things are
either, for you have never really gone beneath the surface regarding them. Here you would be
honest to suspend your views, your political ideas and your judgments upon other people and other
nations. For unless you have investigated a question very deeply from many different viewpoints,
how can you claim to have any educated opinion about it?
It is easy to have opinions. It is more difficult to penetrate the surface and to spend time really
considering something. It is easy to condemn others. It is more difficult to really understand them. It
is easy to dismiss a New Message from God. It is more difficult to investigate what it is, why it is
here, what it means and how it can be studied and applied. What is easy is rarely honest. What is
casual is rarely honest. Casual relationships, casual pursuits, casual ideas, casual pronouncements—
rarely are they ever honest to any degree at all.
If you really knew who you were and why you were here, you would not be involved in casual
things. You would not be involved in casual relationships because there is no value there. You
would not be spending your life, your time and your energy on things that have no value, no
purpose and no meaning. You would not do this because you would be honest with yourself. You
would see that your life is a great opportunity, and you would not want to waste it on anyone or
anything. You would only involve yourself with people and activities that yielded a deeper value
and meaning to you. And you would carry on your work in the world as the price of admission for
being here, without undue complaint.
It is all about honesty, you see—how honest you are about yourself, about your feelings, about your
experience; how deeply you have gone beneath the surface of your mind and the great exploration
that is awaiting you. To really consider what is honest opens the doors to your inner experience.
This takes you beyond your beliefs, your attitudes and your preferences to a deeper realm of
experience within yourself.
This is where you must go if you are to know your greater purpose for being in the world. And this
is where you must go to free yourself from the domination of your thoughts and the thoughts of
others. This is where you must go to find reprieve from the stress and the tragedy of life around
you. And this is where you must go to find your true direction and to experience your deeper nature
and purpose.
Here Knowledge within you really knows what is honest, what is true and what is real. And it
cannot be fooled by anything else. It cannot be fooled by you. It cannot be fooled by anyone else. It
cannot be fooled by the world. It cannot be fooled by the attractions of love and fear, pleasure and
suffering. It is wholly honest within you, and that is why you must follow it. That is why it is the
source of your strength and your integrity. And that is why it will yield your greater gifts that you
have come into the world to give.
