COMMUNICATION PROTOCOL
The Communication Protocol is used to support effective communication and learning between the mentor and pre-
service teacher. The pre-service teacher is required to summarise feedback from the mentor teacher, both written and
verbal. The pre-service teacher is required then to arrange a meeting time to share this summary with the mentor and
confirm its accuracy and implications for the remainder of the professional experience. This form is not to be used for
assessment purposes.
Completion Deadline
The protocol should be completed by 17 May in Semester 1 and by 4 October in Semester 2.
In terms of Tutorial sessions, Jessica should continue to work on eliciting ideas from students
via the method of questioning. This is perhaps one of the most challenging aspects of AVID
Tutorials so continuing to model the questioning method to other students will be very useful to
them.
My mentor and I have agreed that I will focus on the following goals, strategies and/or experiences during
the remainder of my professional experience:
Practice of the questioning method and getting students to do this with confidence
