4StructureEarthworks:

The method statement includes safety aspects during the work, preparation of the
work such as arrangement of precaution barricades and protection, main tools and
equipment utilized, dewatering, survey, excavation, backfill & compaction and all related
necessarytocompletetheentirework.
: Preparation of the works survey and geotechnical investigations:
Thesettingoutwillbemadeatthebeginningstageoftheworkbyreferringtothe
constructiondrawings.Allreferencepointswillbemadeasnecessaryfortheentire
work,developmethodandcrosscheckingallsettingoutshallbeoperations.When
All existing facilities, which are within the construction site radius considered to
obstructanyworkactivities,willberemovedorbeprovidedwithprotectionagainst
damage, dust and dirt. Enclose the site construction area to control material
equipmentaswellastoavoidanyincident/accident.
Investigatebothundergroundhindranceandaerialfacilities.
Worksshouldstartconfirmationofthepermissionandthehandingoverareaofthe
work.
Prepare, check and submit verified construction drawings of excavation areas to be
attached asadditiontothis method statementdistribute &detailstoallconcerned
partiesasrequired.

Test pits and soil profile classification geotechnical test will be taken place before
establishingofworksinthestructureandunderfoundationformationlevel.

: Excavations will be according to drawings , addition excavations will take place
accordingsoiltypeandtoallowforequipmentmovementandsafety.
: Soil filling and will be layer by layer according to specification, with a suitable
 compacting machine and tools, with moisture content that will result to density
greaterthan95%accordingtospecification.
: Moisture content will controlled either by adding water to get the optimums
moisture, or by hydrating wet soil to be reduced the required content which will
satisfythecompactiondegreeaccordingtospecifications.
: Workshiftswillbe13hoursdayandnightshifts(8hoursdayand5hoursatnight
shifts).
: Unsoundmaterialsandunusedmaterialswillbetransportedawaytodespottospoil
areas. Final stripping and trimming will be executed according to drawings and
specifications.
