At the Check In situation

Check-in Assistant: Hello. Are you flying to St. Martin today?
Passenger: Yes, I have my ticket here.
Check-in: Great. I'll need to see your passport as well.
Passenger: I have an e-ticket. Uh...is this the part you need?
Check-in: Actually I just need your name and I can find you on the computer.
Passenger: Oh okay. It's Bates. Frank Bates.
Check-in: Great. Here we are. Oh, you're travelling with an infant today.
Passenger: Yes, my daughter Mia. She's 14 months.
Check-in: Okay. I'll need to see your daughter's birth certificate to prove that she is under two
years of age.
Passenger: Here you are. Say, would we be able to get an aisle seat? I may have to walk her
around if she gets fussy.
Check-in: Sure. I'll put you near the washroom too.
Passenger: Thanks. Can I take my stroller to the gate?
Check-in: Yes, we'll check it in the over-sized luggage after you board. Are you just checking
these two bags today?
Passenger: Yes, I'll take my knapsack as my carry-on.
Check-in: Did you pack these bags yourself?
Passenger: Yes.
Check-in: Okay. Here is your boarding pass. Be at the gate one hour prior to boarding time. You
will be able to preboard because you are traveling with an infant. Our flight crew will have some
special instructions for take-off and landing.
People who love to eat are always the best people

Go through the main FOOD GROUPS with some examples that you would find on a restaurant
menu.
Red Meat Beef (Cow), Lamb, Pork (Pig)
White Meat (Poultry)- Chicken, Turkey
Fish Salmon, Sardines, Tuna, Swordfish
Shellfish Crab, Shrimps, Lobster
Vegetables Spinach, Zucchini, Carrots, Potatoes, Peas, Beans

How would you like your meat, sir?

If someone wants a steak, they may ask for it to be cooked rare, medium-rare, medium or
well-done.

How is the food cooked?

Fish, meat and vegetables can be pan-fried, grilled and baked
Vegetables can be boiled
Potatoes can be fried, baked and mashed

Would you like some mineral water, sir?

The customer has the choice of still or sparkling water. A lot of people now ask for a jug of tap
water instead of bottled water.
Here is the menu. Would madam like to see the wine list? We have some excellent red and
white wines. However, our house wines are particularly good.
After a good meal, the customer might finish their meal with coffee and liquors like brandy,
whiskey and so on.

How is the menu divided?

Some people like to begin their meal with a starter followed by a main course with side orders
of vegetables and potatoes and often finish with dessert. Most people find that a three-course
meal is enough for them. However, on special occasions its great to have a five-course meal
with cold starter, soup, main course, cheese and biscuits and dessert.

Whats on the table?

The typical table setting in a restaurant would have a fork, a knife, a spoon, glasses and a table
napkin. There might also be a side plate for the bread. The main plate will arrive normally with
food. Of course a bowl would be better if youre having soup and a pasta bowl that is wider and
flatter is recommended.

Could we have the bill, please?

If the customers are particularly happy with the service they received, they will often leave a tip.

Sleep for Your Health

You may eat properly and do exercise, but if you don't get enough sleep, you threaten your
health. Lack of sleep not only affects concentration and alertness, it also increases the risk of
getting different diseases. Millions of people don't sleep well. But many of them think that sleep
problems are natural. They suffer for many years before they finally ask for help.

Here are some tips to improve sleep:

Go to bed only when you really feel tired.
Don't read, watch television or use your computer in bed. These are waking activities.
Try not to take a nap during the day, even if you feel tired.
Try to avoid any physical work or activity late in the evening.
If you don't fall asleep within 20 minutes, get up and relax in another room. Do
something calming until you're tired enough to go back to bed.
If you are still thinking about daytime problems, listening to quiet music for a while may
be helpful.
Take a warm bath to calm down.
Drink hot milk before going to bed.
Practice relaxation exercises before you go to bed. Breathe in slowly and deeply for four
seconds, and then breathe out for another four seconds. Tense and then relax your
muscles a few times.
If none of these help, going to a doctor is the best way to get your sleep regular again.
