Summary

For many years I have been a constant and committed helper as well as a member at Prospect
United Methodist Church. I helped in the nursery, with Vacation Bible School (VBS), and with
children's/youth camp in the summer. I assisted other church members with babies in the nursery
on Wednesday night while the adults were in class, and sometimes on Sunday mornings during
Sunday school; I would be in there or the pre-school class. When I was 18 years of age, up until I
was 21, I helped teach classes of all ages, prepare snacks, and preform drama or play the selected
music/videos. I worked with children/youth summer camp for 3 years from 201 4 to 2016. The
camp was 1 week for children (ages 5 to 12) and 1 week for youth (ages 13 to 18) from 8am to
5pm. We had class every morning, engaged in outdoor sports, arts and crafts, had lunch at the
middle school across the road, and had music before it was time for pick up. In November 2016, I
started the after-school program at Red Springs Middle called CIS (community in schools) and
worked until the summer of June 2017. When it comes to children of any age I would describe
myself as passionate and motivated for the overall care and well-being of these individuals. In
August of 2017 I completed 400 hours of internship at Genesis Healthcare (nursing home). In
this facility, I worked closely with my field supervisor to assess residents, plan care meetings
with families, do interviews, discharges and file medical records.
