My name is Jenna Lee, and I was a Sergeant
in the USMC. My motivation for joining was
partially growing up in NY and being affected
by 9/11, my country was my world and the first
responders were my family and my symbol of
humanity.
From Aug 2005-Oct 2012 I fulfilled 2 combat

deployments to Iraq, serving as Ops, Intel Analyst,
and liaison to build trust between local citizens and
allied forces. This was critical because we conducted
detailed analysis of natural and manmade events,
issuing warnings and recommendations to support
higher command decisions.
When I was younger I was first introduced to

Magazine spent our
Halloween weekend
making history by being
the first major cannabis
brand to be featured
with both a booth and a
panel at an actual big city
comic book convention.
We had our full Edibles List booth that youd normally see at
Cannabis World Congress or the MJ BIZ Con set up to meet,
greet and educate a whole new demographic and collection
of potential new friends. We were in a prime location not
too far away from Tommy Wiseaus booth promoting The
Room and the Disaster Artist himself was there signing
custom made footballs and underwear. We also got to see
Dwayne The Rock Johnson and Stan The Man Lee in
person! Our spot was very lively all weekend long as patients,
cosplayers, spectators and curiosity seekers visited our table
with wide eyes and plenty of questions. Unfortunately, we
had to disappoint quite a few folks and tell them that Federal
regulations prevented us from distributing THC products on
site, but our allies at Infused Edibles made sure we were well
stocked with plenty of CBD gummies and vape cartridges for
any attendees who were in need of some easy pain relief from
all the walking and standing that comes with this kind of fun.
The Edibles Magazine staff got into the full spirit of the
occasion and we all wore costumes. Our lovely leader B. Le
Grand was costumed as the Sativa Fairy, right down to her
wings and roach clip and plush pot leaf magic wand, and
Tanganyika was looking fierce as Fire OG rockin the cosplay
for her original super hero character Jayne Green The
Ganja Goddess. Keiko Beatie came dressed up as Mz. Lady
Buzz the Ladybug, and I did my Hunter S. Thompson as a
Sith Lord mash up costume. We did a very educational and
informational panel to a highly receptive and incredibly cool
audience. It was also so much fun seeing so many creative souls
wearing hand crafted and brilliantly constructed costumes!
We saw everyone from Mario and Luigi to Boba Fett, and lots
of Deadpools, and Harley Quinns.
It was enlightening to learn what people knew, didnt know,
and were hoping to find out. I personally love comic books
and cannabis and Ive been a huge fan of both for most of
my life so it was particularly meaningful and fulfilling to
be an ambassador of the industry in such a welcoming new

environment. As regulations change and the world of cannabis
moves into a more recreational and generally legalized way of
being, well see if we can increase our presence and bring even
more healing and loving energy into these mainstream pop
culture atmospheres. Just remember that in the future when
you see cannabis booths and panels at comic cons, it took a
few trend-setting innovators at The Edibles List getting high
enough and inspired to get the whole idea started. Well see

The American Legion's Resolution
for Medical Cannabis Research

The American Legion adopted a resolution urging the federal government
to allow Department of Veterans Affairs doctors to discuss and recommend
medical cannabis in the states where it's currently legal, adding to the group's
efforts to get cannabis in the hands of the veterans it could help the most.
The resolution, passed at the group's national convention in Reno, Nevada,
was authored by American Legion member Rob Ryan of Ohio. According to
statistics provided by the national Centers for Disease Control and Prevention,
Ohio has the fourth highest rate of drug overdose deaths in the nation, just
behind West Virginia, New Hampshire and Kentucky. It's also presently one
of the 29 US states that permit some form of legal medicinal cannabis use.
Ryan said he's heard from veterans multiple times who use cannabis as an
alternative to opiates prescribed by the VA for pain and PTSD.
Doctor Sue Sisley, a psychiatrist studying the effects of medical cannabis on
veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder, called it a "game changer." Dr.
Sisley is now facilitating an FDA-Approved Marijuana/PTSD research study
taking place at the Scottsdale Research Institute in Arizona. In September of
this year, American Legion National Commander Denise Rohan submitted a
letter to Department of Veterans Affairs Secretary David Shulkin urging the
secretary and his department to support the study. For more than a year now,
The American Legion has called on the federal government to support and
enable scientific research to clinically confirm the medicinal value of cannabis.
Under the current rules, Department of Veterans Affairs doctors cant even
legally discuss cannabis as a treatment option with patients. However,
medical marijuana is gaining a growing support base in the veterans health
community, where some researchers hold hopes that the plant might prove
more effective than traditional pharmaceuticals in controlling Post Traumatic
Stress Disorder symptoms and reducing the number of returning veteran
suicides. Federal regulators classify cannabis as a "Schedule 1" drug, a category
that includes heroin and LSD, stating that it has a high potential for abuse
and offers no acceptable medicinal properties. Meaning that with very few
exceptions, cannabis cannot be studied for medical or therapeutic purposes.
A new survey just conducted by the American Legion shows strong support
within the military veteran community for medicinal cannabis legalization
and research. The American Legion has remained a strong advocate for
rescheduling cannabis under the Controlled Substances Act to permit
research into the medicinal benefits for treating veterans who suffer from
post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), chronic pain, depression, and suicidal
tendencies, as well as helping with opiate addiction and alcoholism. 81 percent
of the veterans surveyed by The Legion support the federal legalization of
cannabis to treat a mental or physical condition and 83 percent of caregivers
surveyed supporting federally-legal cannabis as treatment for vets. The
survey also reported that one in five veterans are currently using cannabis to

alleviate a medical or physical condition and the majority of cannabis-using
veterans taking part in the survey were over the age of 60.
The American Legion is the largest wartime veterans service organization
with 2.2 million members in more than 13,000 posts in communities across
America. The Legion, established by an act of Congress in 1919, was
instrumental in getting the original GI Bill through Congress and the creation
of the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Ingredients:
2 large egg yolks
2 cups cold mashed potatoes
cup grated Parmesan
2 tablespoons fresh chives, chopped
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
4 large eggs
2 cups breadcrumbs
2 Packets of Ed Rosenthals Stardust

Vegetable oil (for frying; about 2 cups)
Instructions:
Mix egg yolks, mashed potatoes, Parmesan, chives, Stardust THC powder and flour in a medium bowl. Roll
into walnut-size balls; chill until cold, at least 2 hours. Beat eggs in a bowl; place breadcrumbs in another
bowl. Pour vegetable oil into a medium skillet to measure (about 2 cups) and heat over medium-high until
a pinch of breadcrumbs bubbles immediately when added. Dip potato balls in egg, then roll in breadcrumbs.
Working in batches, fry, turning often, until golden brown and crisp, 34 minutes. Drain on paper towels and
serve with love.
Sweet Potato Pot Pie

Ingredients:
1/3 cup cannabis butter, softened
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs, lightly beaten
3/4 cup evaporated milk
2 cups mashed sweet potatoes
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon salt

1 unbaked pastry shell (9 inches)

Instructions:
In a mixing bowl, combine cream, canna-butter and sugar. Add eggs; mix well. Add milk, sweet potatoes,
vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt; mix well. Pour into pie shell. Bake at 425 for 15 minutes. Reduce heat
to 350; bake 35-40 minutes longer or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean. Brush top with
canna-butter and let cool. Store in refrigerator and serve when ready.

Alice Loves Being In Wonderland!

What could be more inviting than to go back in time
and experience the adventure of Lewis E. Carroll's
experience of Alice In Wonderland. I went head
first down the rabbit hole as I felt like I knew no one
and had no inkling of what I was to empiricism at
the White Rabbit High Tea curated by the lovely
Jessica Cole event coordinator. Her goal was to take
us to the polite days of sharing tea, conversation and
the adventure of savior-faire and infused cannabis
worldliness.
This was unlike any other cannabis party or event I
had ever had the pleasure to be invited to. I came to
the lovely outdoor space in the midst of Hollywood,
California and the doors were open to a Mad Tea Party! Mad not as, angry,
but Mad with fun, laughter and joyful celebration! Guests were dressed with
white gloves, hats, elegant attire and smiles galore. They felt the inviting
excitement as a long table filled with china tea cups, colorful flowers and an
array of fine delicate accessories focused on the Mad Hatter Tea Party in fun
urbanity . As the first time I pickup my proper cup of tea my pinky finger
stood up and saluted the situation. I had come into the room where the
delectable delights had Eat Me with Chef extraordinaire Holden Jager and
a tray of special un-infused savory bites were being presented.
Jessica Cole had many other edible, smokable items in micro dosed portions to
create our infused tea party. Chef Holden had even prepared with love from
his own garden a jar of organic honey filled with top flower buds drenched in
this golden liquid for over 9 months. Can you imagine flavoring your cup of
tea with a spoon full of Holden Honey? Or a few drizzles of Bud Honeyon
your biscuit like scones. Each tray of horderves that came out, I sat up like an
eager puppy wagging my tail to sniff the air and pant with anticipation. Chef
Holden is an artist of culinary talent and I know that White Rabbit High Tea
had me playing croquet with a Pink Flamingo! Alice had nothing on me as
this was a seasoning of sophistication and frivolity at its finest.
The intimacy that was being created along with the guest who were being
treated like, Red Hearted Kings and Queens did transport us for a few brief
hours of wonderland. I couldn't help to have the smile of a Cheshire Cat on
my face for the rest of my White Rabbit High Tea experience. Do you have
something in your wardrobe of whimsy, white gloves, fun hat, pocket watch
and crinkling petticoats? But you'll have the option as there is a costume box
available for you to dig through to drape yourself in finery for just a few hours
out of your mundane cannabis life. At least once you've immersed yourself
into this tea party, you may feel that your life is a bit mundane as compared
to your time at White Rabbit High Tea! Not to fret as a charming Gift Bag
accompanied me home and I had sweet dreams of going head first down the
rabbit hole once again checking out my new array of some of the finest new
cannabis products.
