Mountain Region
1. There are lots of stuff you can do there like hiking, biking, and skiing.
2. The Sierra Nevada range It is about 500 miles, 70 miles wide, and between
7,000 and 15,000 feet high.
3. The climate contains cold winters, and mild summers.
4. The geography: forest and rivers.
5. The industries are mining, timber, and fishing
Mountain Region
These are the animals: the big horn sheep, mountain goats, brown bear, black bear,
grizzly bear, mountain lions, and antelope

The plants are: california sycamore, white alder, quaking aspen, fremont- cottonwood,
black cottonwood, and arroyo willow.
Mountain Region
The names of the cities and towns: Big Bear, Lakeside, Julian, Blue Canyon, Lake
City, and Camptonville.
Coast Region
1. Most of the coast regions are rocky and with chilly waters.
2. The coast region lies along the pacific ocean.
3. The coast region is more than 800 miles long.
4. The coast region is divided into three sections: northern coast, central coast,
and the southern coast.
5. It rains a lot in the coast region.
Coast Region
The animals: bobcats, weasel, coyote, gray fox, puma, sea lions, harbor seals, elephant
seals, gray whales, sea otters, and several types of sharks.

The plants: california poppy, douglas iris, monkey flower, columbine, and the coyote
mint.
Coast Region
Here are some cities and towns: Ventura County, Santa Barbara County, San Luis
Obispo County, Monterey County, and Santa Cruz County.
Desert Region
1. The deserts only receive 10in of rain each year.
2. The deserts are very arid and dry.
3. The deserts lie in the southern part of california.
4. Large animals find it hard to find shelter because of the heat.
5. Most desert animals are small.
Desert Region
The animals: the desert bighorn sheep, desert kit fox, coyote, spotted skunk, spotted
bat, black- tailed jackrabbit, ground squirrels, kangaroo rat, white- footed mouse, and
desert tortoise.

The plants: california fan palm, joshua tree, california juniper, blue palo verde, yellow
foothill, palo verde, single-leaf pinyon, fremont cottonwood, and cactus.
Desert Region
Some cities and towns are: Baker, Barstow, Bombay Beach, Indio, Palm Desert,
Palm Springs, Twentynine Palms, El Centro.
Valley Region
1. The valley region is a long area of low land between hills or mountains.
2. It has a lot of agriculture (farming)
3. It does not have a lot of trees.
4. Rich nutrient soil and abundance of water makes this area perfect for growing
vegetables and fruits.
5. There are two rivers- sacramento and san joaquin rivers.
Valley Region
The animals: pronghorn antelope, elk, the tule elk, mule deer, california ground squirrels,
gophers, mice, hare, rabbits, and kangaroo rats.

The plants: acer negundo, achillea millefolium, achillea millefolium rosea, agoseris
grandiflora, agrostis hooveri, allium crispum wild onion, allium haematochiton red
skinned onion, asclepias erosa california desert milkweed.
Valley Region
Some cities and towns are: Sacramento, Redding, Stockton, Modesto, Fresno,
and Bakersfield.
My opinion
I like the coast region the best because at night the beach is really gloomy and pretty.

I would go to the coastal region and bring all my bach stuff and buy a shack on the
beach and live there for a month. Then, I would play volley ball and surfboard.
