Template to collate information related to animal husbandry and dairy development activities

state

Brief introduction to template:

In India, demand for milk and milk products are growing with rising income, population growth and c
in lifestyle. The demand is estimated to be about 200-210 Million MT by 2021-22. To meet this future
demand internally, milk production of the country has to grow by 9 Million MT per year incrementally
its exiting level of 138 Million MT. With the objective to enhance milk production, various central
government schemes such as NDP, NPBBDD, NLM, RKVY and LH&DC are being implemented all over
country.

To achieve the targeted milk production, there is need for a state specific intervention in the area of A
dairying. To understand the existing status of various animal husbandry and dairy development activ
schemes being implemented, funds allocated and state governments vision for 2021-22 and beyond,
has developed a template to collate various information under following heading:

Format I - Dairy Development

Format II - HGM Bulls and Frozen semen doses production
Format III - Artificial Insemination (AI)
Format IV - Animal health Services
Format V - Animal Nutrition
Format VI- HRD and Training

This would help us in finding the gaps in various critical areas of animal husbandry and dairy develop
in the state, thus formulating a state specific strategy and develop/design components for the next ph
National Dairy Plan (NDP).

It is requested to provide information along with a detailed vision document (if available) as per the fo
given hereunder.
