Summary of Assessment Plan

Assessment Process and Purpose of Assessment

Quick Write Students will complete a brief, timed writing assignment that
requires only five minutes to practice their critical thinking. As a
teacher your goal is to discover how much your students know
about the topics presented in this section prior to learning.
Students will be asked to write about the first things that come to
their mind when they hear locomotor skills, object manipulations
and offensive strategies.
Concept Map Students will create a concept map regarding the elements of
creating a game. This will allow students to brainstorm ideas
while also using knowledge they have previously learned in
class. The concept map will provide students with a better
understanding on areas they understand and areas they are
lacking knowledge on.
Quiz Students will complete an online quiz to assess the knowledge of
locomotor movements when it comes to definitions, pictures and
application. This will allow students to know if they are
understanding the material presented to them.
Flashcards Students will complete flash cards to allow for them to see if
they are retaining the information presented to them. This also
allows students another chance to see if there is anything they
need to go over again.
KWL Chart Students will develop their own K-W-L chart on offensive
strategies. Students will use this chart to identify what they
know, want to know and what they have learned thus far. This
activity will allow students to become more engaged in the
learning by allowing them to state what else they want to know.
It also allows the teacher to see what the students have gained
from your teaching thus far.
Poster Plan Students will work in a group of four to create their very own
poster plan of the game they want to create. The plan must
consist of pictures, graphs, definitions, examples and more. The
poster plan must include names, definitions and examples of all
three subject areas to confirm student learning and
understanding.
Reflection Students will complete a single page written reflection at the end
of the lesson. Students will reflect on what they have learned and
expand on the knowledge they have gained. This will allow you
as a teacher to see what students took away from the lesson and
if the objectives were made.
