2G/3G co-site means the 3G site will be installed into existing 2G BTS room.
The technicians of engineering team shall complete most of NodeB hardware installation including all
indoors and outdoor equipment and auxiliary supplied by HUAWEI. The engineering team is one which
carry out the engineering under supervisions of HUAWEI from engineering commissioning to hand-over
of hardware including:
documents and details specified in this contract, such as ground connection, lay out of trunks,
power line connection, power on, DDF connection (include RNC side) etc), self-test, the
measurement of antenna and the cell adjustment and installation acceptance during cut-over
period . If any serious problem described below happened the engineering team must rework
and fix all problems unconditionally: water flow into antenna cable, connector is unstable,
antenna blown down or direction changed, water protective adhesive tape get loose (not the
quality problem of ribbon). Also the engineering team shall be responsible for all damages
caused.
The engineering shall complete the as built report document in hardcopy and softcopy, containing: As
built equipment and room layout in Auto Cad drawings version, sites informations, Digital Photograph,
Map.
(1) Power supply for DBS3900: no power equipment or battery shall be installed, -48VDC supply
(2) BBU installation: BBU shall be installed inside 2G BTS cabinet as below picture
(3) RRU installation: 3 RRU per site, each RRUs weight is 15 kg, shall be installed on antenna
tower, please see below picture for hardware installation of RRU and BBU
(4) Cabling works: optical cables, power cables are connected from indoor equipment to RRU,
1.1.2 Single NodeB site adjustment and cell adjustment during on air period
Single NodeB adjustment is the power up test after the hardware installation. The single NodeB
adjustment requires: every unit can operate normally according to Acceptance Manual (include battery
and rectifier test), every circuit pack can work normally, antenna measure normally; after the
transmission to RNC and NSS get through, every carrier can apply calling and reach the target of road
test. Also the technicians must take note of the result, trace the process and fulfill correspondent
documents, such as Site Adjustment Record, Road Test Report (on computer and paper), and hand
The measurement technicians shall get with special instrument: Antenna Analyzer, power-meter,
computer with HUAWEI local maintenance software, test mobile set, RF analyzer (if necessary), etc.
Cell adjustment is the necessary step for all NodeB antenna system and cell coverage target, that is to
say, it is the primary network optimization. As the importance of adjustment the engineer of Class A
The test data must reach the target defined in Acceptance Manual. The technicians shall complete the
documents, such as Site Adjustment Record, Road Test Report, Installation Report, Memo of
Engineering and Acceptance Manual, etc. The single NodeB adjustment and the cell adjustment during
Hardware supervisor must complete the environment check, engineering negotiation (including plan of
equipment, technicians, engineering and schedule of installation), direct the technicians base on the
work flow and all the support document to install the hardware, carry out the measurement of antenna
and take notes, complete the technical documents, etc. Hardware supervisor must guarantee the
quality of hardware installation. If the technicians do not take the supervisors order against the
Installation Manual (Only exception: the idea is helpful to improve the installation quality and enhance
the satisfaction of user, supervisor must take notes and ask the mobile telecommunication department
for permission), the supervisor must use his right to stop the action and report to the project manager.
If any serious problem described below happened the supervisor must rework and direct the
engineering team to fix all problems unconditionally: water flow into antenna cable, connector is
problem of ribbon).
Hardware supervisor shall complete the engineering documents: Installation Environment Checking
Table, Packing List, Working Start Agreement, Schedule of Installation, Memo of Unpacking and
Design, Self-test Table of Hardware Quality, Hardware and Software inspection report, Equipment
Hardware supervisor shall cooperate with customer to make Acceptance Test for NodeB sites that they
Party A shall provide Party B with the proper contract files concerning the work of site survey such
as:
1- Bill of Quantities;
2- Network diagram;
3- Responsibility table for (Installation and Hardware Material Providing) scope division.
5- Provide the proper forms to be filled such as (product site survey report; auxiliary product report;
environmental inspection table form for installation preparation; site standard check list table;
drawings templates)
6- Contact List.
7- Site list
The engineering team shall complete RNC (include OMC) hardware installation including rack
installation, cable lying out, etc. The engineering team shall carry out the engineering under supervision
inspection, hardware installation, self-test, installation acceptance test, etc. The technicians shall consist
of some professional people with good quality and experience in GSM/CDMA/WCDMA engineering.
The engineering shall complete the as built report document in hardcopy and softcopy, containing as built
equipment and room layout in Auto Cad drawings version, sites informations, Digital Photograph, Map.
Hardware supervisor must carry out the environment check, engineering negotiation (including plan of
equipment, technicians, engineering and schedule of installation), direct the technicians base on the
work flow and all the support document to install the hardware, complete the technical documents, etc.
Hardware supervisor is in charge of the whole engineering and must guarantee the quality of hardware
