BULLETIN
A. Effectivity
(1) Engines
All AE 3007C2 engines.
(2) Spares
23091403, FADEC Assy, Hardware & Software.
B. Reason
This bulletin introduces new FADEC hardware and software assembly 23093323 that
incorporates FADEC software version CX1.2 (23093324). FADEC software version CX1.2 is an
incremental change from the FADEC software version CX1.1 used on the AE 3007C2 engine.
The main modifications incorporated in software version CX1.2 are as follows:
(1) Removes the 900 engine RPM boost feature when anti--ice is selected and landing gear is
down and locked.
(2) Increases the cruise thrust of the AE 3007C2 engine below 31000 feet.
(3) Improves windmill air restart time above 25000 feet.
(4) Improves Fan Speed Sychronization logic.
C. Description
This service bulletin gives you the procedure to reprogram the FADEC hardware and software
assembly (FADEC assembly) to FADEC assembly (23093323) and change the FADEC
identification labels.
A Controls and Data Systems (CDS) authorized representative will reprogram and identify the
FADEC assemblies.
This service bulletin transmits CDS Bulletin AFFU100--73--7838.
D. Approval
Technical aspects are FAA approved.
E. Manpower
On Wing Approximately 3.0 man--hours are necessary to remove, reprogram,
reidentify, and install the two FADECs for each engine (approximately 6.0
man--hours for each aircraft).
FADEC Spares Approximately 1.0 man--hour is necessary to reprogram and reidentify the
FADEC.
Required labor will be reimbursed by Rolls--Royce when accomplished for eligible engines
under the stated effectivity and compliance at Cessna Service Centers.
F. Compliance
Recommended. Do this service bulletin at the next convenient maintenance opportunity after
this FADEC software version is available.

2. ACCOMPLISHMENT INSTRUCTIONS
A. Reprogram the FADEC assemblies.
REF. FIG 1
REF. TABLE 1
REF. TABLE 2
REF. TABLE 3
(1) Remove electrical power from the FADEC assemblies (Ref. Cessna Model 750 AMM).
(2) Remove the four FADECs from the aircraft (Ref. TASK 73--25--10--000--801, MM).
(3) Reprogram and reidentify the FADEC assemblies by the CDS authorized service
technician in accordance with CDS Service Bulletin AFFU100--73--7838 (see attached).
(4) When the CDS authorized service technician reidentifies the FADEC, then do the steps
that follow:
(a) Make sure that the small FADEC Modification Label, on the top of the FADEC, shows
the information that follows:
TABLE 1 -- FADEC Modification Label Hardware Part Number Information
(c) Make sure that the small FADEC Aircraft Identification Label, to be placed near the
FADEC connectors, shows the information that follows:
TABLE 3 -- Small FADEC Aircraft Identification Label Information
NOTE: The attached CDS service bulletin is for use by CDS authorized service
technicians or other authorized personnel.
(5) Install the four FADEC assemblies (Ref. TASK 73--25--10--400--801, MM). To make sure
that the correct ITT trim plug is installed on the engine, use AE 3007C Series Maintenance
Manual Revision 73 or later.
CAUTION: DO NOT OPERATE THE ENGINES UNLESS ALL FOUR OF THE FADECS
HAVE THE SAME SOFTWARE VERSION INSTALLED. INCORRECT ENGINE
OPERATION CAN RESULT FROM USE OF FADECS WITH TWO DIFFERENT
SOFTWARE VERSIONS.
(6) Supply electrical power to the FADEC assemblies (Ref. Cessna Model 750 AMM).
(7) Put the avionics power switch to the ON position (Ref. Cessna Model 750 AMM).
(8) Cycle all of the FADEC circuit breakers (breakers) by opening and closing the breakers
three times.
(9) Examine the EICAS display for the messages listed below:
(a) FADEC BUS FAIL L/R -- A/B
(b) FADEC FAIL L/R -- A/B
(c) FADEC FAULT L/R -- A/B
(d) FADEC REV ADC -- L/R
(e) FADEC REV N1 L/R
(10) If one or more of the above messages are displayed on the EICAS, then do the appropriate
fault isolation task for the message displayed (Ref. FIM).
CAUTION: DO NOT OPERATE THE ENGINES WITH ONE OR MORE OF THE ABOVE
LISTED EICAS MESSAGES DISPLAYED. DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE CAN
OCCUR.
(11) Do the engine operational check with FADEC channel A selected in control for both
engines (Ref. TASK 72--00--00--700--801, MM).
NOTE: Do not remove electrical power from the avionics bus.
CAUTION: STOP THE ENGINE IF ONE OR MORE OF THE MESSAGES LISTED BELOW
ARE DISPLAYED ON THE EICAS. DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE CAN OCCUR.
