Aleah-Hello, this is your local Verona, Italy news station. I am Aleah Hackman and this is
Erin Busta. Grievances have struck the city.
Erin- Last night there was breaking news of the unexpected deaths of 13 year old Juliet
Capulet and 17 year old Romeo Montague. Here is what our investigators found out.
Aleah-Juliet Capulet was a very sweet young lady whose heart was filled with love for her
family and her nurse. Juliet was the daughter of Lord & Lady Capulet.
Erin- Romeo Montague was the son of Lord & Lady Montague. He was a very passionate
person who loved to visit with his friends.
Aleah- Their two families have been in a feud for many years.
Erin- Earlier there was a fight that broke out between the two families.
Aleah-Mercutio, a friend of Romeo, and Tybalt cousin of Juliet both died in that dispute.
Erin- Mercutio was killed by Tybalt, then Tybalt was killed by Romeo. Romeo was banned
from Verona due to his actions.
Aleah-Romeo becoming banned caused Juliet to become depressed. Although Juliets
parents planned on her marrying Count Paris, Juliet and Romeo had been secretly married
earlier the day of the fight.
Erin- After Juliet found out about Romeos banishment, she got a potion to make her look
dead even though she will really be sleeping.
Aleah-Romeo had heard that Juliet had died and despite his banishment, returned to
Verona.
Erin-Romeo had purchased poison because he wanted to die beside his wife, and he went
to the tomb where Juliet was sleeping. Count Paris tried to prevent Romeo from entering
the tomb, but Romeo fought and killed him.
Aleah-When Romeo saw that Juliet was dead, Romeo drank the poison and died next to
Juliet.
Erin- Moments later Juliet awoke to see Romeo dead next to her.
Aleah- Juliet then took Romeos dagger and killed herself. More on this after the

Erin- And were back. Now, more on the story of the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. Romeo and
Juliet met at the Capulets party. Romeo was not invited because of his families disputes, so
he snuck in.
Aleah- Juliet saw Romeo and fell in love with him. She had no idea he was a Montague.
Erin- The two got married the next day by Friar Laurence.
Aleah-Friar Laurence agreed to secretly marry them without their families knowing about
it.
Erin- Friar hoped that the families would find out about the marriage and end the feuds.
Aleah- He hopped the families would learn to get along.
Erin- The Montagues and Capulets learn a lesson from the deaths of their children.
Aleah- The two families agree to never fight again. And now the weather with Sophia
Adams.
