Revisions to the Configuration Deviation List provide current information applicable to operation of
the SA227-CC and SA227-DC aircraft. Revised pages should be inserted into the manual to replace
existing pages or to add additional pages, as applicable. The manual is valid only when current
revisions are incorporated.

SA227 COMMUTER CATEGORY CDL
GENERAL LIMITATIONS
This Configuration Deviation List (CDL) contains additional limitations for the operation of
Fairchild SA227 Commuter Category airplanes without certain parts.
The associated limitations must be listed on a placard affixed to the pilot's instrument panel, in clear
view of the pilot.
The pilot in command will be notified of each operation with a missing part(s) by listing the missing
part(s) in the flight or dispatch release.
The operator will make an appropriate notation in the aircraft logbook covering the missing part(s) on
each flight.
If an additional part is lost in flight; the airplane may not depart the airport at which it landed
following this event, until it again complies with the limitation of this CDL. This, of course, does
not preclude the issuance of a ferry permit to allow the airplane to be flown to a point where the
necessary repairs or replacements can be made.
No more than one part of any one system in this CDL may be missing unless specifically designated
combinations are indicated herein. Unless otherwise specified, parts from different systems may
be missing. However, only one performance decrement is allowable for any stage of flight for any
missing part or combination of missing parts.
Takeoff performance decrements are applicable to takeoff gross weights which are limited by
structural limit, field length, climb performance, or takeoff flight path.
Landing performance decrements are applicable to landing gross weights which are limited by
structural limit, landing field length, landing climb, or approach climb.
En route performance decrements are applicable to operations which are limited by en route,
single engine climb performance.
The numbering and designation of systems in this CDL is based on ATA Spec. 100. The parts within
each system are identified by functional description and, when necessary, by part number.
23-1 Static Discharge Wicks 19* The top wick on the rudder and the
outboard wink on each wing and elevator
tip must be installed. Any two of the
remaining wicks may be missing. Wicks
may be moved to replace lost essential
wicks.
57-1 Landing Light Glare Shields 2 One or both may be missing. Night flight
prohibited.
