Topic: Post-conflict economic recovery

Deeply regretting the fact that there are 35 ongoing conflicts,

Noting with regret that countries implied in conflicts fight big loans and inflation,

Alarmed by the fact that countries with unproper governance, underdeveloped work nishes, and
weak insitutions suffer from the highest amount of casualities during conflicts or calamities,

Pointing out the need of financial aid and administrative support of a post conflict and
underdeveloped country,

Observing the fact that many of the countries in conflict have gender equality problems,

Reminding how easily a conflict can erupt again in an unstable country,

Emphasising that the role of NGOs in the field of international interventions has proven to be
quintessential for successful reconstruction of war torn societies,

Aware of the fact that the countries need to be rebuilt almost from scratch,

Convinced by the huge lack of employment in the post-conflict countries,

Taking into account the illegal activity in post conflict areas,

1. Calls upon NATO to deploy a higher amount of military forces at the borders of those
countries in order to diminish the chances of new conflicts;
2. Urges the governments to guarantee reduced taxes for citizens in order to enlarge the
number of individuals in those countries, thus fostering their development;
3. Endorses IMF( International Monetary Fund) to offer loans to the country in need and offer
aid regarding the money administration;
4. Fully supports the creation of an account for donations in order to gradually release the
money into the new economy to avoid dependency on foreign aid;
5. Calls upon NGOs such as Red Cross, Institute of Conflict Resolution to take part in the
threatened areas and foster the fund raising campaigns;
6. Calls upon the further implementation of the United Nations Convention against Corruption
(UNCAC) in the activities which aim fund distribution in order diminish the chances of money
leakage;
7. Advises maintaining trade barriers on the affected states in order to avoid making it
dependent on foreign aid;
8. Calls upon member countries to form a commission which can help the brand new
government to take better decisions in order to facilitate the efficient development;
9. Encourages the brand new country to prioritize its infrastructure to assure the proper
absorbtion of development funds;
10. Suggests the UN to hold counselling meetings with the governments considered unproper by
their population;
11. Urges the government to offer tax reduction for the new SMEs, foreign inverstors and
entrepreneurs in order to stimulate job creation;
12. Suggest the countrys government to promote and aid initiatives which are SMART (wasting
less resources) and eco-friendly;
13. Urges the Diplomatic Corps to take measures in order to avoid new outbreaks of conflict as
much as possible;
14. Calls upon UN Women to fight for womens right in order to allow them entering in the work
zone, leading to a faster and safer development;
15. Decides to remain actively seized on the matter.
