Three-Branched Government
The Kyrgyz Government is broken up into
three branches, much like the governmental
system here in the United States! In
Kyrgyzstan, there is an Executive Branch, a
Legislative Branch, and a Judicial Branch.
Lets explore each of these branches a little
more!
The Executive Branch
The Executive Branch contains the president
and the Cabinet of Ministers. The president is
elected by popular vote, and serves for one,
six-year term. The prime minister, or the
head of the Cabinet of Ministers, is chosen by
the parliament. The Cabinet of Ministers is
broken up into the Provisional Government
and the Government of Usenov. The
Provisional Government contains positions
like Deputy of Finance, Deputy of Economy,
Deputy of Constitutional Reform, and
Deputy of Prosecution Bodies and Financial
Police. The Government of Usenov contains
positions like the Minister of Foreign Affairs,
the Minister of Agriculture, the Minister of
Defense, the Minister of Economic
Regulations, the Minister of Education and
Science, the Minister of Emergency
Situations, the Minister of Energy, the
Minister of Finance, the Minister of Health

move up to municipal courts, regional courts,
