PROFILE
Currently a second year undergraduate
student studying BA (Hons) International
Business Management at Southampton Solent
University. The field of Business has long been
of interest to me, but my desire to undertake a
course in International Business was inspired
by a talk given by Hadi Othman, a former
Google employee who initiated a hub for
entrepreneurial leadership in Brunei. This
initiated my aspiration to own or work in a
globally marketed company. I am a self-
determined and dependable international
student, whom has developed good social and
communication skills throughout living in
United Kingdom and Brunei. The opportunity
also allowed me to experience differences in
cultural, religion and educational diversity,
which I feel will prepare me well for the
challenges that I may encounter especially
working in a multi national company. My
involvement in co curricular activities, such as
Borneo Project has helped develop leadership
skills and working as part of a team.

EXPERIENCE
THE EMPIRE HOTEL & COUNTRY CLUB; BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN|8
DAYS IN AUGUST 2014
I had the opportunity to gain some work experience at the one and only 5 star
hotel in Brunei. Even though I was with The Empire Hotel and Country Club for only
8 days, I have learned a lot. This included learning about their finance where I get
to experience first hand how they operate in purchasing, receivable and payable.
Further to this, I were also given time at the front office where I was taught briefly
how to deal with guest service, guest relation, general reception and express
service.
DORCHESTER COLLECTION; LONDON| 3 DAYS IN JUNE 2012
During my work experience at the prestigious Dorchester Collection, I was exposed
to a variety aspects of the sales and marketing department, specifically in digital
marketing. Being given the responsibility to review their competitors websites and
to evaluate their own website for improvements and possible differentiation of
their enterprises to create a unique branded competitive edge was fascinating. My
suggestions were considered and followed by the responsibility to help develop
their exclusive greeting card range for Eid.
