Josh this is an extremely pleasing portfolio that covers the aspects required by the brief.
You evaluate honestly and clearly identify what youve taken and learnt from each stage as well as every week of the process.
Its also extremely pleasing to watch your development throughout the weeks with your confidence clearly growing in terms of willingness to
experiment with your editing.

I really enjoyed your decision to work with a Noir tone which was not on appropriate but gave you a focus and allowed you to challenge
yourself to meet the conventions of a clearly identified genre. For a first go at it, youve done really well. Most importantly youve been able
to accurately identify where improvements can be made in your evaluation.

Your editing techniques clearly improve throughout the episodes and your decision to have Burke drop the phone during the flashback
scene and merely have voiceover really works and was extremely effective.

Josh, you have worked well and cooperatively within a team as well as work calmly and methodically throughout. You have challenged
yourself and reaped the benefits of this by improving every week. Well done.

Development Points

Take what you have learned and apply it to an independent project.

Complete Location Recces and Risk assessment to a far more detailed standard.
Use audio recorders for sound to ensure consistent levels of quality.
Continue to develop editing techniques, as well as directing techniques.

What does the feedback say?

I made a pleasing portfolio, I evaluate honestly and I clearly identify what I can improve on, my decision
to go with a noir tone gave me focus and allowed me to challenge myself to getting the requirements for
the genre, my editing techniques have improved throughout the dead man walking series, I have worked
calmly and methodically and have been very cooperative when In a team. I should apply what Ive learnt
and apply it to an independent production, I should complete health and safety paperwork with more
detail, use audio recorders more efficiently, continue to develop editing skills

What are the areas in which you need to improve?

I should apply what Ive learnt and apply it to an independent production, I should complete health and
safety paperwork with more detail, use audio recorders more efficiently, continue to develop editing
skills.
What can you do to improve in these areas?
Just put more detail into my work and maybe plan ahead in future projects.
