DAY OF DEAD
SINALOA:
In Mazatln the celebration of Day of the Dead was started in 1994. The result was very
Sinaloense: a procession guided by the Tambora music to visit offerings and altars made
by the community. If we add the carnival culture of our city today we see something similar
to a "Carnival of the Dead" without missing the beer.
In the celebration of Da de Muertos in Mazatln cannot miss the use of the facilities of the
Teatro ngela Peralta to enter a tour of spaces not allowed to the public and with artistic
and contemporary interpretations and artistic performances of death and that make the
public perceive being in another reality in many ways.

QUINTANA ROO:
This celebration in Tres Reyes attracts hundreds of visitors and gives them the opportunity
to live an interactive experience with the community families, who welcome them in their
own homes to explain the symbolisms of their altars, sharing their customs and rites of the
festivity.

The Mayan Priests from the community gather together with the visitors in Cenote de la
Vida and perform the blessing ceremony to the visitors and pray for the souls with
percussions and hundreds of candles. Finally, the participants enjoy a delicious dinner full
of typical dishes from the Hanal Pixan. This celebration is prepared in one of the three
days that the custom indicates: October 31th, dedicated to children; November 1st,
dedicated to the oldest; or November 2nd dedicated to all souls.
It is an extraordinary experience that opens your senses to the richness of the Mayan
cultural heritage.

GUANAJUATO:
Magical and cultural tradition; Day of the Dead in Guanajuato.
Between calacas, cempaschil flowers, and huge offerings, Guanajuato celebrates these
days with magnificent events around the state.
Join this incredible party between skulls in the Parade of Catrinas that the municipality of
Len, combining in a modern and creative way the traditional celebration of dead and
fashion, having each year a different theme, this celebration takes place on November 1st.
San Miguel de Allende is also a worthy representative of culture and tradition, presenting
to the festival "La Calaca" having as dates of the 1st. to November 5, finding among its
many artistic events such as: workshops, conferences, shows, parades and festivals that
honor, promote and explore the themes and traditions that exist.
The Catrinas Parade brings together hundreds of people dress up and painted as
Catrinas and Catrines on a parade through the streets of San Miguel de Allende.
