John Norine, Jr.

(Music Director): Big Fish marks Johns 28th mainstage show and 20th as Music
Director with MTD, going back to 2006s Hot Mikado. He has also music directed two shows for
DCT Into the Woods in 2005 and Rent in 2015. Outside the Campus walls, he has music
directed throughout the DFW area including Runway Theatre, Greater Lewisville Community
Theatre, Rover Dramawerks, Junior Players, NCTC, as well as educational productions with the
McKinney Independent School District. A graduate of the University of North Texas, he earned a
Masters and Doctorate degree in Conducting while studying under Anshel Brusilow. He holds a
BM in Music Theory from the Crane School of Music and has furthered his conducting studies at
the Pierre Monteux School and Music Festival since 2007. He currently lives in Denton with his
wife Olivia and their two conductor kitties Leopold and Lenny.
