Introduction
A turbine is a rotary mechanical device that extracts energy from a fluid flow and converts it into useful
work. A windmill turbine is a device used to produce electricity at the expense of wind energy. In this
procedure wind attacks on the blades of windmill turbine causing them to rotate. Due to this rotation shaft
also rotates, which is connected to gear. When the gears rotates, they causes generator to produce
electricity.

Literature review
After a satisfactory study of windmill turbine we reached over some conclusions that windmill was not
used only for the purpose of production of electricity. It was initially used for several purposes; some of
them are following; for draining purposes, to pump water, as a grinding mill.
Initially many designs were considered, on the basis of numbers of wings. 4,3,2 wings windmills were
designed, even single blade windmill was designed also, but more efficient was 3 blades windmill turbine.

Objective
To design & fabricate a small windmill turbine unit, having a capacity of 500watts.

Problem statement
Consumptions of non renewable energy resources are growing day by day. Two major problems are
rising due to these resources are pollution & harmful effects on the environment as well as very short
quantity of energy reservoirs. To overcome these two problems we need to propose a suitable solution.

Solution statement
In order to avoid adverse effects of non renewable energy resources, we should improve the usage of
renewable energy sources in order to make our environment safer to live. Renewable resources are safer
for environment, free of cost as well as, they are unlimited. So its better to avoid non renewable sources
by using natural resources more & more.

Methodology
To fabricate something, its necessary to make its design before its actual manufacturing. We have made
a 2D sketch of windmill design by using AutoCAD software.
Expected contributions
Our work is an effort to urge people more & more to utilize natural resources. We hope our results will
attract the attention of technologist toward the natural resources.

Future scope
We hope if we are succeeded in our experiment this may prove a green signal for the others to pay their
entire attentions on renewable energy sources. Renewable source is not a single word this is an entire
world.
