Dr. Suhas V Prabhu

MD, DCH, MNAMS

Completed medical undergraduate and post-graduate studies from Seth G. S. Medical College
and K.E.M. Hospital, Bombay. Gold medalist at the M.B.B.S., D.C.H., M.D. and M.N.A.M.S.
Exams. After a 4-year stint as Lecturer in pediatrics at the L.T. M. Medical College, Bombay
started private practice as general pediatrician in January 1985.

Honorary (Visiting) Consultant in General Pediatrics at the P. D. Hinduja National Hospital from
1986. Special interest in Infectious Diseases of children and Immunization; has been
visiting fellow at the infectious diseases departments of the Massachussetts General
Hospital, Boston and Childrens Hospital, New Orleans in 1994. Running a special Pediatric
Infectious Diseases OPD at Hinduja Hospital from October 2003.

Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the Padmashree Dr. D.Y. Patil Medical College (MUHS)
from 1991 to 2003. Currently Honorary Pediatrician at the K.B. Bhabha General Hospital

at Kurla (attached for the last 22 years). Accredited teacher in pediatrics (M.B.B.S., D.C.H.,
D.N.B.) for more than 19 years. Regularly takes lectures at various national and regional fora and
has more than 20 publications in national and international journals.

Was Assistant Editor of the "Pediatric Clinics of India" for 7 years.

Has been looking after medical record matters for Hinduja hospital; been chairman /member of
the medical record committee continuously for more than 19 years from 1988 to date. Introduced
procedures for Medical Record Audit at Hinduja Hospital from year 2000.
