Aim: To prepare the design of an Isometric model on PTC Creo-3.

Inputs: Dimensions and drawing of Isometric model is given below

All Dimensions are in mm

Operations Performed:
1. Sketch
2. Extrude
3. Define depth of extrude
4. Hole

Procedure:
1. Create a new solid part design file.
2. Click on sketch button and select the plane to draw the sketch.
3. Now draw a 2-dimensional sketch of rectangle with the help of rectangle
command with dimensions 300 mm * 112 mm
4. After completing the drawing click on finish sketch.
5. Click on extrude button and select the figure and direction of the extrusion.
6. Enter the thickness of 169 mm and click on OK.
7. Now select the sketch plane and click on sketch command.
8. Take the four edges of the rectangle as references.
9. Draw two rectangles of 75 mm * 112 mm on the opposite edges and click OK
10. Select extrude command and extrude the drawn figure for 131 mm. Click Ok
11. Select the side planes of newly formed rectangles and create holes of diameter
32 mm and 62 mm. Click OK.
12. Now select the side plane and click on sketch command.
13. Take the four edges of the rectangle as references.
14. Create a trapezium with base length of 176 mm, height 1 = 169 mm and height 2
= 131 mm. Click OK
15. Extrude the drawn figure for a depth of 300 mm
16. Select the side plane again and take all edges as reference.
17. Now create a trapezium for a base length of 150 mm, height 1 = 131.
18. Extrude the drawn figure for depth of 300 mm.
19. Select the base plane and on the corner create a triangle of sides 150 mm
collinear to the edges. For this take them as reference. Click Ok
20. Extrude and remove the material from the drawn triangle for the full depth.
21. The Isometric model is completed. Save it for the future use.

Result: In this exercise you have studied about producing Isometric model.
