PRACTICAL 09

Aim: To prepare the design of a V-block on PTC Creo-3.0

Inputs: Dimensions and drawing of V-block is given below

All Dimensions are in mm (t=100)

Operations Performed:
1. Sketch
2. Extrude
3. Define depth of extrude

Procedure:
1. Create a new solid part design file.
2. Click on sketch button and select the plane to draw the sketch.
3. Now draw a 2-dimensional sketch of the given figure with the help of line
command with dimensions as per stated
4. After completing the drawing click on finish sketch.
5. Click on extrude button and select the figure and direction of the extrusion.
6. Enter the thickness of 100 mm and click on OK.
7. The V-block is completed. Save it for the future use.

Result: In this exercise you have studied about producing V-block which is the most
important and widely used part of machine.
