Christian Patriotism from Ephesians

I heard a sermon is church today, but this was not it. I read the
scriptures and saw something else. This is my sermon and I has
written letters to congress and been to tea parties.

Eph 6:10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
Eph 6:11 Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand
against the devil's schemes.
Eph 6:12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the
rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and
against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
Eph 6:13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of
evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have
done everything, to stand.
Eph 6:14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist,
with the breastplate of righteousness in place,
Eph 6:15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the
gospel of peace.
Eph 6:16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you
can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
Eph 6:17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is
the word of God.
Eph 6:18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers
and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for
all the saints.

****When the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground,
and after you have done everything, to stand, stand firm then.

What are days of evil: imprisonment, abuse, theft, violations of rights, loss
of freedoms, ethnic cleansing, civil wars, fraud, corruption, excessive
taxation, prejudice, violations of the constitution, etc.

***Our struggle:
Against the rulers,
Against the authorities,
Against the powers of this dark world
Against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
****Weapons we can use:
Truth –expose the lies…get the word out
Righteousness – don’t do evil for evil but overcome evil with good
Readiness that comes from the gospel—know what and why you believe
Peace –no violence and avoid uncontrolled anger
Faith –believe things can and will change
Salvation –salvation on Earth and in the world is from God
Word of God –Scripture speaks to all situations, read and study
Pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.
---Prayer fights in the hidden realms.
Psa 83:1-4 A song. A psalm of Asaph. O God, do not keep silent; be
not quiet, O God, be not still. See how your enemies are astir, how
your foes rear their heads. With cunning they conspire against your
people; they plot against those you cherish. Come, they say, "let us
destroy them as a nation…….
Psa 83:13-18 Make them like tumbleweed, O my God, like chaff
before the wind. As fire consumes the forest or a flame sets the
mountains ablaze, so pursue them with your tempest and terrify them
with your storm. Cover their faces with shame so that men will seek
your name, O LORD. May they ever be ashamed and dismayed; may
they perish in disgrace. Let them know that you, whose name is the
LORD-- that you alone are the Most High over all the earth.
