PROJECT SUMMARY

An MNC named ABC Corporation has been setup in India with its headquarters at USA. It has started
through its main offices at Delhi,Mumbai, Bangalore,Ludhiana, Chandigarh and Jalandhar & their
Head office being in Chennai . Delhi office is further connected to offices at Gurgaon . Jalandhar and
Ludhiana main office at UAE is connected to Jalandhar office through Leased Line connection
which support static routing and is also connected to Bangalore, Mumbai office through leased line
which supports dynamic routing . Offices at Delhi have routers acting as child routers so that the user
cannot connect directly to main office at UAE for further security reasons. Head office is further
connected to Chandigarh and Ludhiana through frame relay connection .. These branches are
configured using switches which are further connected to users via Ethernet port and users are
accessing to various facilities provided to them VLANs (Sales-HR-Purchase-IT) are also configured
to switches for further security. Being the companies requirement that companies private e-mails and
web services must be shared between different branches located in India, an E-mail server has been
configured at the Headquarters in UAE and Web server is also configured for the http access within the
companies network aswell as over the Internet. For security purspose various ACL(Access Control
List) functions and ASA FIREWALL has been implemented to restrict the unauthorized access from
outside the companys network ie through Internet
