Jean Nouvel Design for Revolution Precrafted Presents Prefab Home at FIAC 2016

PARIS, FRANCE October 10, 2016 Jean Nouvel Design in exclusive collaboration with Revolution Precrafted
presents Simple, an installation at FIAC as part of the Hors les Murs program. The architectural installation will
be located in the Tuileries Garden and open to the public October 18 at noon.

The prefabricated home on view is a 6m x 6m modular one-bedroom shelter, produced as part of a limited edition
series for Revolution Precrafted. Simple is designed and packaged off-site, delivered in a standard shipping
container and easily assembled on-site for the fair.

The structure is comprised of lightweight aluminum exterior panels, a layer of thermally-efficient insulating foam
and wooden interior lining. The design is customizable in size and layout, allowing for end-users to define the
space to their liking with sliding interior windows and partitions. Sizes range from 36 square meters for a one-
bedroom module to 144 square meters for a four-bedroom home. Collectors can also choose from a variety of
interior finishes.

Housing is the purpose of architecture. What we propose here is the most immediate way to inhabit a space,
within a short timeframe, in places that are not designed for residential use today and that become so,
spontaneously. All of the essential notions relating to housing must be condensed into a single object that can be
built very quickly and inhabited by one, two, three or four people within the same volume. Jean Nouvel

The installation will be the first Revolution Precrafted home to be released to the public. The platform launched at
Design Miami/ in December 2015 with Zaha Hadids VOLU Dining Pavilion. Also on view at FIAC is Armadillo Tea
Pavilion by Ron Arad for Revolution Precrafted, originally showcased at Design Miami/ Basel in June 2016.

Revolution Precrafted is a collection of limited edition, prefabricated structures, both pavilions and full-size homes,
conceived by design and real estate developer Robbie Antonio. The project unites more than 40 of the worlds
preeminent architects, artists and designers to create a diverse collection of innovative, multi-function living
spaces.

Small-scale modular housing is not a new concept, but with advances in prefabricated manufacturing technology,
Revolution is reimagining the possibilities of accessible high-design housing. Robbie Antonio

Throughout 2017, Revolution will continue to debut additional properties in conjunction with the premier arts and
design events.
