Comments:
Miss Davis clearly redirected student behavior by focusing on the positive behaviors. Miss Davis has a positive personality
which translates to the classroom climate!

Intern gets class started quickly.
Intern uses available time for learning and keeps students on task.
Comments:
Miss Davis was prepared by having all work already passed out at student spaces for them to be able to quickly transition
and get started.

Intern arranges learning activities to support standards.
Intern appropriately uses a variety of teaching styles.
Comments:
Miss Davis connected her lesson directly to what is happening in our classroom with a study guided trip. Miss Davis
connected her lesson to the idea of being a good citizen (our most recent social studies unit) and introducing out service
learning project.
4. Instruction - Instructional Monitoring
Intern circulates to check performance and monitor progress.
Intern varies level of questioning.
Intern ensures that all students have the opportunity to participate.
Comments:
Miss Davis circulated during turn-and-talk times to ensure she was hearing a variety of conversations. She also had her
questions marked with sticky notes in her book to help monitor her level of questioning.

Comments:
Miss Davis clearly explained the expectations of what she wanted students to learn during this time, and made connections
between the story, our upcoming trip, and the learning outcomes.
