ISM Goal Setting Activity

Instructions: Students will complete the Goal Setting Activity to help them organize their thoughts and to narrow
in on a specific topic of study, select a collegiate/professional level product to produce, and to set goals for
completing their final ISM project. Goal Setting Activity examples, as well as Product Guidelines and Suggestions
will also be posted on itsLearning to guide you in developing your own individualized project goals. All 3-4 goals
must be descriptive, measurable, and have a deadline. Type in your responses on the chart/template below, save,
and print it off. Handwritten forms will not be accepted for credit. This Goal Setting Activity Form must be
approved/signed by your mentor and teacher by the due date below.

Due Date #1: Monday 9/25: (Draft, does not require signatures, submit to itsLearning for approval by
2:30pm)
Week of 9/25: Goal setting forms will be approved by Mrs. Click during your IPM
Due Date #2: Friday 9/29: (Final copy signed by Mentor, must be scanned and posted on Weebly portfolio
and hard copy turned in by 2:30pm)

Create hypothetical scenarios as if I was on the job and describe how I would
handle each wound, the supplies that would be essential, and the treatment plan
to help get the dog back to normal.
1. Decide which injuries (3-4) I want to study the most that are commonly seen
when treating War Dogs such as bomb dogs by October 1, 2017.
2. Decide on creative way to showcase my product scenarios by October 16,
2017.
3. Find the most efficient ways (1-2 each injury) to treat each of the wounds
decided in goal 1 by November 1, 2017.
4. Research how long recovery time takes, physically, in both minor and major
cases by November 15, 2017.
