BACKGROUND

INDUSTRY:
his Case Study is for Chivas Brothers, part of the
Wholesale, FMCG
Pernod Ricard group. It has 12 operating malt
distilleries, a grain distillery, two gin distilleries and
IWS CONFIGURATION: over 300 bonded warehouses, containing an extensive
WMS & WCS aged inventory of more than six million casks.

PROJECT TYPE: From its Kilmalid Site in Dumbarton, northwest of Glasgow


New site / On site (one of the largest sites in Scotland) some 11 million cases of
spirits are distributed to more than 150 markets around the
ERP: world every year.
Integration with Oracle E1
The site, quantity of stock and type of stock, created some
unique challenges for Invar.

CHALLENGES In addition to this project, an additional integration that
Invar has implemented for Chivas, includes:

With high volumes and an extremely demanding customer base, Chivas


Brothers required a highly resilient solution to ensure continued
operation regardless of host system availability or mechanical failure.
Invar Systems were able to achieve this by combining redundancy
features in the conveyor and crane design together with the IWS
configuration capabilities.
