RESOURCE DESCRIPTION
Give a brief description of the technology/resource.

Live Binders is an online 3-ring binder. There are dividers with tabs that allow for personalization. There are even options for sub-
tabs. Live Binders allows almost anything to be put into it, such as webpages, PDFs, documents, images, or videos. The binder(s)
made can be shared publicly, or they can be passcode protected. This allows student work to be protected and viewed only by
those with the passcode.

INTEGRATION IDEA - PORTFOLIOS

How might you use this resource in a lesson plan to promote student-centered learning?

This resource can promote student-centered learning by having students place their work, perhaps for a project-based learning
assignment, inside a LiveBinder and this can show them step-by-step on how their project has progressed. It can also give
students a chance to reflect on how they learned a novel, or perhaps a topic such as poetry. It can be a place to store their work
on the topic and show how they learned the topic, which would also be a great study guide for a final or exam.

VALUE-ADDED EXPLANATION
Based on the value-added rating scale above, how would you rate the technology integration you described, using the
selected resource?
Explain your rating based on the rubric indicators.
I think this resource has the ability to be a 3 because it transforms a lesson from just having students learn something into a step-
by-step project-based learning and it would greatly increase the mastery of the concept, as well as keeping students engaged.
Students would be responsible for maintaining their LiveBinder and documenting their learning which is completely student-
centered.
