Introduction
Digital life Certificate for Pensioners -scheme of
the Government of India known as Jeevan
Pramaan , is digitizing the whole process of
securing the life certificate.
Jeevan Pramaan is a biometric enabled digital
service for providing life certificate to
pensioners.
Pensioners of Central Government, State
Government or any other Government
organization can take benefit of this facility.
Benefits
Pensioner need not be have appear before the
pension disbursing authority.
Digitized system enables the pensioner to submit
the life certificate from the nearest location to his
residence.
Pensioner can generate digital life certificate
from home computer using his/her biometric
fingerprint scanner.
 How it Works
Jeevan Pramaan uses the Aadhaar platform for
biometric authentication of the pensioner.
A successful authentication generates the Digital Life
Certificate which gets stored in the Life Certificate
Repository.
The Pension Disbursing Agencies can access the
certificate on-line.
How it Works(contd.)
Download and Install the PC application from the
URL:http:// jeevanpramaan.gov.in website.
Run the jeevan pramaan software from Desktop.
Enter necessary information like Aadhaar
number, Pension Payment Order No.,
Bank Account No., Bank Name and your Mobile
number.
Self authentication by scanning either a finger
print or Iris.
How it works (contd.)
After a successful authentication a SMS acknowledgement is
sent to Pensioners mobile number including Jeevan Pramaan
Certificate ID. Print copy can also be taken.
The certificates are stored in the Life Certificate Repository
for making it available any time and any where for the
pensioner and the Pension Disbursing Agency.
Role of Pension Disbursing Agency
The Pension Disbursing Agency can access the Life Certificate
from the Jeevan Pramaan website, and download the same.

Pensioner can any time download his/her Digital Life Certificate by visiting Jeevan Pramaan
Website by Providing his/her Aadhaar Number or Transaction ID.
Way Forward
State Finance dept. may be given the nodal responsibility.
Instructions/GR to be issued for setting up of the Jeevan
Pramaan unit in each Department /Collector Office/ Tahsil
Office/Panchayat under coordination of establishment
section.
Role may be given to CSCs by DIT/RDD.
Requirements :
Personal Computer with Internet Connection.
Optical Finger Print Scanner / IRIS Scanner.
