BexarFlood.org Low Water Crossing App

Bexarflood.org

www.BexarFlood.org is a
SARA/BxCo/CSA collaboration
showing flood prone street and
low water crossings. This is a
mobile-ready site usable by the
general public.
18
Digital Flood Insurance Rate Map
(DFIRM)
SARAs Floodplain Viewer engages users
in an interactive map, displaying the
Federal Emergency Management
Agencys (FEMA) National Flood Hazard
Layer (NFHL) data. Together with its many
Bexar Regional Watershed Management
(BRWM) partners, the San Antonio River
Authority collected the data used in the
digital maps, providing basic information
about the floodplains in Bexar, Wilson,
Karnes and Goliad counties.

SARAs Flood Models
Extreme rain events can
overwhelm traditional 1D
(down stream flow in
channel) models.
FloodWorks
HMS & RAS
With trend of climate
change, could see these
scenarios more frequently
and should have expanded
capabilities.
Expanded detail of our
models could include local
street flooding (2D).
