Standard configuration:

II i-Cam User Instructions


1 Lens: Adjust the lens to get clear images.
2 Screw Lossen it and rotate i Cam to make sure i Cam can see the whole
projection field. And then, fasten screw and lock current i Cam position.
3 Suckers: Press i Cam, it can stick on the flat table steady.
4 USB port: Connect to PC with the attached USB cable.

Hoisting Operation
1 Metal strap
2 Connection bolt
3 Metal bracket

Nomal Hoisting As shown in left above figure, wrap the metal strap around the
projector steeve and connect with the bolt.
Upside down Hoisting: As shown in right above figure, remove the i Cam screw
firstly. Upsidedown the i Cam. Install the screw again and the other operation is
same with normal hoisting.

III i-Pen User Instructions


1.LEDInfared LED with a scuff sleeve The scuff sleeve is removable when it is badly
worn. make sure i Cam can see it when writing.
2.Right mouse key: Press it and send a right mouse message to PC.
3.PageUp key.
4.PageDown key.
5.Battery cell: Using 2-AAA batteries, make sure the battery is installed correctly.

Operation Mode
Touching operation: Touch the penpoint on normal board freely.
Touchless operation: Press the penpoint with finger, make sure the penpoint is
visible to i Cam. Well working within a distance 10 cm to the screen or wall.
IV i -Interactor Control Panel Instructions

Operating system: Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7(32bits/64bits)

System requirement: P4-1.0G or above, 256M RAM, USB2.0

1.Calibration

Open the i -Interactor Control Panel adjust the i-cam position, and make sure it can
see the entire projection field as shown in following example picture.

Auto Calibration

Press , the projector will display an 86 check-board picture for automatically


calibration.
If the calibration is completed successfully, the program will minimize to the toolbar area
and the program run automatically. As shown in following example picture

If the calibration failed, it will turn to Manually Calibration automatically.

Note:Please make sure the projection picture full and in the same level,do not block the
projection field when doing calibration.When the system is calibrated ready.Do not mov
e i-Cam or projector.Otherwise,you have to re-calibrate the system.We recommand mo
unt i-Interactor with projector together on the ceiling,it can get better calibration.

Manual Calibration
When the Auto Calibration procedure failed, please use the Manu function instead by

pressing . In this procedure, the projector will display 9 Red points sequentially.
The user is required to click these points centers one by one with the pen. When all the
points have been clicked, the system is calibrated.

Note When the


system is
calibrated. Do not
move i Cam or
projector.
Otherwise, you
have to re-calibrate the system.
2. Running Status
When the system is running, the camera image will not be displayed, and the framework of
the program will shrink:

If you want to check system debug, please click , the interface of the program will
expand and show the camera picture.

In the bottom of the interface, the Status toolbar:

The Status contains: current frame rate, the pens coordinate, status of left mouse key and
the speckle size, etc.
Noteplease click to close the camera picture when system is running, or the
speed of system will be reduced

3. Advanced Settings

Press , the advanced settings dialog will be displayed as

Camera Select: If your PC connects with more than one camera, please select the camera
of i Cam.
Exposure Time: Control the exposure time of i Cam. Smaller value gets darker picture
and vice versa. Default value is -6. When the value is changed, re-calibration is required.
Image Flip: The output image of some camera is axisymmetric with the real world scene.
You can flip the image through this combobox and make it correspondent to the scene.
ThresholdAutomatically set, if it needs to be adjusted manually, the suggestion adjust
range is 120-200,default value is 180.
Speckle size (min): Minimum size of the IR speckle size (in pixel) that the system can
detect. Smaller value can improve the system sensitivity but also increases the
possibility of ambient light disturbance. Default value is 5.
Speckle size (max): Maximum size of the IR speckle size (in pixel unit) that the system
can detect. It is designed to filter some big high reflection region. Default value is 1000.
Tolerance: Improving this value can increase the stability of the system, but also
decreases its sensitivity. Default value is 5.
Auto-code: When the pen is pressed down, it will send an authentication code to the i-
Cam, this function is closed in default.
Multi-P: In the Screen Pen software, you can use several i-Pens to draw at the same
time. If you want to do so, click this checkbox.
H-Speed: Some particular i-Cams support the high speed mode, and in this mode, the
frame rate of the camera is set to 60FPS.
W-Cam: Some i-Cams equipped with a wide-range lens, if your i-Cam is such a device,
please check this box to compensate the distortion caused by wide-range lens.
Auto run at startup: when the computer runs, the i-Interactor runs automatically.

Note: General users are NOT suggested to modify these parameters.


V ScreenPen User Instruction

Double click the icon , the user interface as shown below:

1. Screen draw: draw on the screen directly.


2. Create a new white drawing region.
3. Pen tool: switch to drawing mode.
4. Brush tool: switch to brush mode.
5. Set the line width.
6. Set the pen color.
7. Clear the drawing board.
8. Save the drawing: the screen content will be saved

to the folder specified by the user, default, it will be

saved in /img of the program installation

directory.
9. Open the soft keyboard.
10. Open the help document.
11. Quit.
VI. FAQ

1.Why could not calibrate successfully?

Condition 1: there is webcam on your own laptop, could not get computer
projection when calibrating.
Solution:
Open i-Interactor control panel, click setting, and choose i-cam from Selecting
camera.

Condition 2 Appear this options when double click i-Interactor during


calibrating .

Solution: Please click Yes to go on.

Condition 3: when double click i-Interactor panel to calibrate, show Encrypted


Payload error. The reason is bad connection between USB cable and computer or
i-cam, please check whether connect well between them.

Condition 4: Check is there light disturbing.


1 you can use i-Interactor normally if there is normal sun-light. But please
pay more attention on the direct sun-light to white board, if have, please
close the curtain.
(2) Check the brightness of your projector, if above 2500 lumens, please try to
get big projection,100 inch is the best, to turn down its brightness or the
exposure value(Open i-Interactor control panel, choose advanced settings
and choose the exposure time to -7, -8 or -9 )
(3) check is there reflect light on the projection white board, if yes you had
better mount projector to high place.

Condition 5: It will influence your experience on i-Interactor if exist 2 or more


than 2 i-Interactor driving system the sane tine, please unload driving system
first and reinstall the new when you want to change it.

2. i-Pen does not work after the success of Auto Calibration


(1) Check whether the batteries are installed correctly and have power.
(2) Turn off anti-virus software in the computer, because the individual anti-virus
software will prevent the software which it could not recognize.
(3) Check whether i-pen is working properly.

Open control panel, press , there will be a black screen in below of

the control panel, press on the screen with i-Pen, it will show .

As the figure shown, when i-Pen works well, you can see there is a thin circle
out of the white point. If not, there is no circle.

(4) Page up and page down keys on i-Pen can not be used.
Exit i-Interactor control panel, unplug the USB cable, wait for 30-60 seconds,
and reconnect to calibrate.

3. Long i-Pen does not work after the success of Auto Calibration
(1) Check that the batteries are correctly installed. As shown in the figure,
positive towards the pointer tip direction to install the battery.

(2) Please press and hold the yellow button on the pen body when writing.

4. The best way to installation

The best installation method of i-Interactor is hoisting.


There are two methods for hoisting. One is hoisting i-Cam and projector together,
as the following figure:

The other method is mounting them separately, as the following figure:
