1. Please provide me with the copy of orders vide which the interceptor van of Delhi Trac Police bearing Registered No DL 1CS 4370 was placed outside
Army Public School on Vande Matram Marg on 09 Sep 17. What was the me period of duty specied for this interceptor van. Who was detailed to lead
the trac police team of this van.

2. Please provide me with a copy of the latest Pollu on Under Control (PUC) Cer cate in respect of Delhi Trac Police Interceptor Van bearing
Registered No DL 1CS 4370. Please also provide me with the copy of its current Insurance Policy.

3. Who was the driver of Police Interceptor Van bearing Registered No DL 1CS 4370 on 09 Sep 17. Did he possess a valid driving license as on 07 Sep 17.
Please reply in yes or no.

4. Please provide the name, rank/ appointment and service number of the ocial who checked his license prior to his taking out ibid vehicle on road for
duty.

5. Is any brieng given to the team of Interceptor Van prior to launching them on the road for carrying out checks. Please provide me with a copy of this
brieng. Is this team given any instruc on on consca on of driving licences of errant drivers.

6. Please provide me the details viz brand name, model number and serial number of the LIDAR Gun or the device used for checking overspeeding
vehicles on 09 Sep 17, installed in the Delhi Trac Police Interceptor Van bearing Registered No DL 1CS 4370. Please also provide me with the service
and maintenance record of this par cular device.

7. Please provide me with the name, rank/ appointment and service number of the person who checked and cer ed the serviceability of this speed
measuring device/ LIDAR prior to its use on 09 Sep 17.
8. When was the last me that the accuracy of LIDAR Gun/ device used for checking vehicle speeds, used in the Delhi Trac Police Interceptor Van
bearing Registered No DL 1CS 437 on 09 Sep 17, tested and/ or calibrated. Please share the copy of the log book of this device where entry of this
calibra on has been done or the copy of the test report in support of your reply.

9. What is the the me period for which the the accuracy test report of this device valid.

10. How many challans were done by No 1363/T ASI Laxman Prasad on 09 Sep 17. Amongst these challans in how many cases did he impound the
driving licenses of the drivers and how many cases were let o without consca on of licences or Registra on Cer cates of vehicles.

11. How many LIDAR guns/ devices for measuring vehicle speeds are held by Delhi Trac Police and how many of these are unserviceable. Please
provide me with the registra on number of the unserviceable equipment.

12. I request you to allow me to inspect the le vide which the last procurement of LIDAR Guns by Delhi Trac Police has been been done.

In this context, it is to inform you that the requisite information as

per report of TI-TE, SI-MT & HAG (Principal Information Supplier)/Traffic(HQ}
related to this office is as under.-

Point INFORMATION
1 to Your RTI application has already been transferred to the PIO/DCP-T/
5 Central Range for taking further necessary action, as per RTIAct-2005.
6 The photocopy of details viz brand name, model number and serial
number of the device used for checking over speeding vehicle installed in
the Delhi Traffic Police Interceptor van bearing Registered No. DL 1CS
4370 is available in this office. You may collect the same by depositing
@ Rs. 02/- per page in any working day during working hours under the
provisions of RTI Act-2005. You may bring your Identity proof at the time
of obtaining the documents.

However, information regarding service and maintenance record of this

particular device is related to PIOjDCP-TjCentral Range, Delhi.
7 & It relates to PIO/DCP-T /Central Range, Delhi. However, the photocopy of
8 the calibration/rules are available in this office. You may collect the same
by depositing @ Rs. 02/- per page in any working day during working
hours under the provisions of RTI Act-2005.

9 The accuracy of the device has been calibrated within the manufacturer's
specification & the instrument IS traceable to National Institute of
Standards & Technology.

10 You may collect the requisite information received from I/C Computer-Tr.
by depositing @ Rs. 02/ - per page in any working day, during working
hours under the provisions of RTIAct-200S.

11 22 Numbers of Mobile vehicle Mounted Interceptors have been purchased

by Delhi Traffic Police.
12 The information is considered as commercial confidence and trade secrets,
disclosure of which would harm the competitive position of a third party.
Disclosure of which is exempted u/s 8(1)(d)of RTI Act-2005. No larger
public interest is warranted in sharing the information.

Subject: - Regarding information u/sec 6 (3) of RTI Act.-2005.

Sir,

Please refer to your Online application dated 09.09.2017, received in this office on
13.09.2017 from CPIOffraffic (HQ) on the subject cited above. Information pertains to this office
is as under:-

Point 1 On 09.09.2017, the interceptor van bearing No. DL lCS 4370 was placed outside
Army Public School on Vande Matram Marg by verbal order of Assistant
Commissioner of Police/Traffic New Delhi District. The time period of duty for
above interceptor was 1400 hrs to 1600 hrs on 09.09.2017. ASI Laxman, No.
1363/Traffic and ASI Rajkumar, o. 1140/Traffic were detailed to lead the traffic
police team ofthis van.
Point 2 The copy of latest Pollution Under Control (PUC) Certificate of interceptor van
bearing No. DL 1 CS 4370 is available in this office. You may collect the same
after depositing Rs.02/-@ Rs. 02/- per page according to provision mentioned in
RTI Act-2005 in any working day during working hours. Rest of the information
is not available in this office.
Point 3 A I Kanwar ingh was the driver oflnterceptor van bearing No. DL 1 CS 4370 on
09.09.2017. Yes, he had a valid driving license.
Point 4 No such record is available in this office. However, the driving license of the
driver of lntercepotor is not checked everyday.
Point 5 In this regard, the traffic staff deployed on interceptor is verbally briefed by the
supervisory officers before launching the drive. Lnstructions for seizing the driving
license are given in briefing itself.
Point (6 to 9) No such information is available in this office.
Point 10 Total 03 challans were issued by ASI Laxman, No. 1363/Traffic on 09.09.2017,
out of that 01 court challan was issued for overspeeding in which driving license
was seized and other 02 challans were issued for the violation of overspeeding &
without driving license.
