Fast forward several months: the mayor of Dallas lays a grid of over 30 vertiports,
landing spaces for many aircrafts, and vertistops, landing spot for one aircraft all
according to the blueprint derived by Ubers data scientists over his city and in front of
TV cameras endorses 5 initial partnerships Uber enters with prospective eVTOL developers
for a start of that transport in 2020. Same was agreed with Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Uber estimated that it will need on average 750 vehicles for each of the 300+ city where
they are present. Federal Aviation Authorities are finalizing details of noise/frequency
parameters and vertistops design features for various locations, as well as specifics of
interaction with Air Traffic Control.

Bartinis Purpose
To build affordable urban electric autonomous aerial vehicle to replace urban helicopters
and to underpin Ubers plan to bring us our long-standing dream as a product through a
button in a mobile app, as well as any other Urban Transportation organizer taxi
companies, city managers, et al..

Problem Solution
Personal aviation is non-existent: helicopters are expensive and unsafe, airplanes need
runways, and both need experienced and expensive pilots. The solution is a mass-affordable
electric autonomous four passenger VTOL (also known as the flying car) priced 3 to 5
times lower than helicopters and covering distances 2 times farther at similar altitudes. The
adaptive technological platform can be commercialized through sublicensing manufacturing
facilities worldwide.

In April 26 in Dallas the dream became the plan. Policymakers united with the industry
(researchers, experts, manufacturers and investors) to make it work. Politicians announced
deployment of networks, new investment funds are established to specifically focus on this
vertical. There are 10-15 eVTOL designers and manufacturers in the world at various
blueprinting/prototyping stages, while none has so far the product to Ubers specifications.

Product
Four-passenger self-navigated aircraft (or a cargo aircraft carrying 400kg), sedan-sized,
combines quadcopter with carrying wing. Passenger inputs the destination, the vehicle
takes-off vertically from any surface, tilt-shifts engines to airplane (horizontal) flight
mode, which allows to cover distances over 150 km at 300 km/h on one battery charge
(over 600 km on hydrogen fuel-cells), then lands vertically on arrival.
Market Size
Uber alone has estimated that they will need 500-1000 vehicles per each of 300+ cities.
Each manufacturer at this time estimated the initial price to fall between $250-450k, which
sets Ubers demand at 80 billion USD. It is expected that mass produced vehicles will be
priced at ca. $80-100k (and thereafter even $40k). There will be increase in private
purchasing, as well as more demand will come from other urban public/private
transportation organizers. We may compare the market size for that purpose with the
market for premium automobiles, which stands to be 360 billion by 2020.

Current status
Design blueprints and technical specs of the aircraft have been validated with Ubers

Founding Team
The HQ/Holding company Bartini, Inc (DE) shall hold controlling stake (50%+) in the
Russia-based R&D center Bartini Project LLC. The Founding Team for the R&D center in
Russia is as follows:
Vladimir Andreev, 20 yrs. in business development, sales and marketing Ex-Mercedes
Vladimir Salatov, 18 yrs. in aircraft design, test flights, pilot, engineer Ex-Tupolev
Nikolay Fonurin, 15 yrs in ground and flight tests, Ex-Tupolev.
Alexey Maltsev, 10 yrs. as commander-pilot and flight methodologist, ex-Transaero
Igor Opotsky, 20 yrs. as instructing pilot, investigative expert at the IAC
Ilya Khanykov, 10 yrs. as investment projects manager, Ex-Tricorona
Dr. Maxim Kiselev, 20 yrs. as high-tech mentor, Ph.D. Psychology, Yale
Dr. Vitaliy Rasnitsyn, 25 yrs. as PR/GR executive, Fellow at RANS

Business Model
We expect our revenues to come from sales of the vehicles, service contracts, and sales of
region-specific manufacturing licences. The initial price of the 4 seater vehicle while
estimated to be initially $300k is expected to go down to $80k at the stage of mass
production. The revenue model shall include sales on a pay-per-use model, i.e. per
hours/miles of flight. The latter is the preferred model for players like Uber, however the
financial sector has to learn and adopt business practices to procure for such solutions. We
do not expect to be required to build this financial arm within our company, however, do
not exclude very close partnership with a financial player, alike to the arrangement per
which Rolls Royce jet engines are being currently sold on the global market.

Competition
Final products not available yet, with an
exception of 1) Terrafugia Transition,
which (a blend of a car and an airplane
costs a fortune, requires runway) has
recently been certified for US skies and
2) E-Volo, which is a 2-seater
easy-to-operate electric helicopter with
a large footprint. Other candidates
include: Lilium Jet, Ehang, Terrafugias
next model TF-X, Zee.Aero, Kitty
Hawk, Aeromobile 3.0, Vahana, Lilium
Jet, Aurora, Carter, Bell and Embraer.

Advantages of Bartini Design

Technology and configuration (coaxial variable pitch propellers in a quad copter
convertiplane with aerodynamics of the carrying wing, patented) decrease power
consumption up to seven times and ensure long-distance flights at altitudes
comparable to small helicopters or airplanes. Expected market price will stay within
$100k due to absence of complex components, wings, ailerons, chassis, moving airframe
parts, as well as simple assembly processeses. High degree of body-shape variability within
the aerodynamic solution, no need for takeoff/landing infrastructure, safety due to 8 motors
and coaxial propellers in 4 engine groups and human-factor reduction, noise-levels within
urban regulation.

Project Roadmap
1. Angel investment round ($500k) by September 2017
2. Build the technology demo model 50% scale by December 2017
3. Establish HQ/Business Dev/Sales presence in the Valley, seek US/Canada based
component suppliers, partnership with serial aircraft manufacturers and,
ultimately, Uber, participate actively in the Uber Elevate Network
4. Raise seed round in the Valley: $5M (which may or may not include receiving
government grant from the Russian state into the Russian R&D subsidiary
directly)
5. Build models, do the fine-tuning experiments, develop localization and prepare for
mass production for the Uber Elevate, do business development with other urban
transport companies worldwide (Asia, Middle East)
6. Raise venture round in the Valley: $7-10m
7. Produce the 2-seater, start sales in Russia, where certification is easier, obtain the
serial aircraft certificate, start serial production, sign partnership with Uber.
8. Raise up to $20m internationally (potentially go public)
9. Produce 4-5 seater aircraft and procure for the Uber Elevate Test Projects (2020)
10. Set up mass production (for which either raise, merge with large manufacturer or
do the IPO and build own tera-factory)

Next Step
Angel Investment round of $500k.
