Empowering people is pleased to put forth the proposal to manage and organize awareness on Child
Sexual Abuse with WIC.

Child Sexual Abuse is being a nasty face of the developed society, the very fact that people dont talk
about it, is responsible for children getting victimized and abusers walking free. More than 50% of
children have confessed of some degree of abuse at some point or the other in their growing up years.
And in most cases the abuser has been someone they trusted.

So, whether we like it or not, whether we talk about it or not, Child Sexual Abuse is rampant and it
needs to stop. Creating awareness in our view is the first step towards prevention. The social stigma has
long been associated with the victim. The burden of shame has long been on the tender shoulder of the
abused. The families in most cases ignore the signs and even if they notice they try and hush the matter.

Through this initiative we wish to create awareness about the issue, alert parents on the signs, inform
parents on how to educate their children about good and bad touch

The issue, Child Sexual Abuse is significant to be addressed because it not only negatively effects on
child physical, psychological and mental health but also produces parents, family members suffering and
societal problems at large. The problem is also important to be addressed because majority of the time,
sexually abused child do not report incidence to his/her family (parents) which result into silent suffering
in children and their family. At times, they do not come forward because of the fear that the child or
entirely family would be stigmatized by the so

However, psychological consequences are most devastating and they could be immediate or/ and long
term effects, these include: depression, bipolar disease, behavioral consequences and divorce at later
stages of their lives Empowering people has conducted the largest survey on Emotional Health of, over
10k+ Uttrakhand childrens, on basis of which, Empowering people for benefiting the society and its
childrens have developed a full run CSA program , with different module, which is categorized age wise
and class wise

Theres this strong notional constrain with us, as an optimist human being, for every advert situation
It Can Never Happen to Us.
But based on Indian Govt National Survey,it was found that out of every 2 child 1 is abused, i.e 53% of
total child population.

So, through this awareness program of ours we would like to highlight the myths and facts on CSA with
the whole process involved till recovery and integration.
