GROUP DISCUSSION

Sub: Management and organization Behavior Sec: A

Group Discussion is a modern method of assessing students personality. It is both a technique


andan art and a comprehensive tool to judge the worthiness of the student and his
appropriateness for the job. In a Group Discussion the participants are encouraged to express
their views without sorting to arguments on the views expressed by other members of the team.
This helps the students to listen patiently and analyze the points proposed by the other members.
The persons successful at GD are considered as good team players by the employers.

Purpose:

To improve the communication skills of the participants.


To increase confidence levels of the participants, develop positive attitude and
convincing skills

Group discussion session was conducted on 23/11/2015 for A1 section for the
subjectManagement and organization Behavior from 2:00 to 3:40. 20 learning groups have
participated.

In this group discussion 20 learning have been participated. Each learning group has been
allotted 15 minutes. Some of the students express their views through subject wise. Even though
its first activity they have been participated actively.

Sec: A1

Debating is structured way of exploring the range of views on an issue. It consists of a


structured contest of argumentation, in which two opposing individuals or teams defend and
attack a given proposition. Debate engages learners in a combination of activities that cause them
to interact with the curriculum and encourages constructive argumentative and convincing skills
among the participants.

Purpose:

To encourage critical thinking and focusing on the points of argument;

Encourages participants think critically and strategically about both their own and their
opponent's position

Grading system
Necessity of Cell phones to students
Dress code in colleges
Child Labour
Online shopping

Debate was conducted on 3/12/2015 Thursday at 2:00 to 3:40 for A1 sec. 10 Learning
groups have been participated; each learning group has allotted 15 minutes of time. Some
students expressed their views, some are tried to justify the debate. All the students have taken
initiative and participated although it was first time they have participated actively and results
were satisfactory
