Section K: Research Proposal Postgraduate Research applications ONLY

38. Ideally you will have identified an already existing Research Group of Supervisor on the universitys website. If so, you can request/apply to be part of this research
group and often there is no need to submit a separate research proposal. However, if the focus of your research is slightly different (but related to the expertise available
in the university) you need to submit a separate research proposal in support of your application. Your proposal should include details of the area of research you wish to
pursue and outline the proposed programme of research you wish to undertake.

Applicants for research within subject areas such as science, engineering and medicine, where the programme of research may link into an ongoing research project,
have to include:

- a brief outline of the area(s) of interest

- name of the preferred supervisor(s), if known.
- an explanation why you wish to pursue the proposed area of research, and provide supplementary information on any experience, training or skills you may
have gained from your previous education or employment.

Applicants for research within the humanities and social sciences are required to provide an outline research proposal. This proposal should be about 5001000 words
in length. The purpose of the proposal is to ensure that you have a researchable project in mind and that you have identified that the department/faculty indeed has the
necessary expertise to provide you with adequate supervision.

Your research proposal should incorporate the following information:

suggested title or topic of proposed research and name of the proposed supervisor
the main aims and objectives of the research (what you try to achieve and why you think it is worth doing)
questions that you will address through your research
identification of links to any previous work or hypothesis (research that has already been undertaken in this field), and training or skills you may have gained from your
previous education, research or employment
any resources available and any required during your research
an outline of the proposed methods/methodology of the research (e.g. methods of data collection, survey, case studies, etc.) and a plan and timetable of work.

If you have already spoken to a potential supervisor and they have suggested a proposed research project please include details of what has been discussed.

for discover that you have submitted false documents or made a false statement, or have failed to provide significant and relevant information, they are entitled to
withdraw or amend any potential offer, according to the circumstances. You may even be required to withdraw from the course if you have already started it. In

are admitted, will form the basis of your university student record.

When youve completed this form please email it for processing to your Inova Education counsellor or, if you are yet to be assigned one, to our general email address
(admissions@inovaeducation.com) together with a PDF scan of all the documents requested in Section Q. We will carefully check your application and covering
documents and work together with you to ensure it meets the requirements of the university you are applying for.

Please note that if you are still in your final year of your studies and/or are still to take a formal English language test you can still apply, as universities may be able to
issue conditional offers. Hence we can start processing your application even though some of the covering documents are outstanding.

Please submit all covering documents as a PDF.

Should you require an online programme to help convert your files to PDF format, reduce the size of a document, or combine individual documents into one single

We will require official translations of all document that are not in English. Although you can write your CV and personal statement in English, and you can ask your
referees to write their reference letters in English, the translations of your academic documents can only be done by an official translator (Perito Traductor
Autorizado.) If your university is able to give you your academic documents in English you can use these to apply for a study place but not to apply for a UK study
visa. Therefore we recommend you get them translated now as part of the application process. Inova Education can help you with translations so please let us
