I rejoiced the day you were baptized,
to see your life unfold.

Priest: Almighty God has called his servant, our priest,
Rev. Fr. Angelito Dagle Fausto, from this life to himself.
As we gather to commend our brother to God, let us express
our deep faith in the resurrection as Jesus Christ was raised
from the dead so we too, are called to follow him, through
death, to the glory where God will be all in all.
Let us pray to the Lord also for ourselves. May we who mourn
be reunited, one day, with our brother Angelito. Together
may we meet Christ Jesus when He, who is our Life, appears
in glory.
Priest: In the midst of life we are in death; from whom can we
seek help? From you alone, O Lord, who by our sins are justly
angered.

Holy God, Holy mighty,
Holy Immortal, have mercy on us!
Lord you know the secrets of our hearts;
shut not your ears to our prayers, but spare us, O Lord.
Holy God, Holy mighty,
Holy Immortal, have mercy on us!
O worthy and eternal Judge, do not let the pains of death turn
us away from you at our last hour.
Holy God, Holy mighty,
Holy Immortal, have mercy on us!
Then, while the earth shall be cast upon the body by some standing by, the
Minister shall say,
Priest: UNTO Almighty God we commend the soul of our
brother Angelito departed, and we commit his body to the
ground; earth to earth, ashes to ashes, dust to dust; in sure and
certain hope of the Resurrection unto eternal life, through our
Lord Jesus Christ; at whose coming in glorious majesty to
judge the world, the earth and the sea shall give up their dead;
and the corruptible bodies of those who sleep in him shall be
changed, and made like unto his own glorious body; according
to the mighty working whereby he is able to subdue all things
unto himself.
Lord, let Your servant go in peace
For Your Word has been fulfilled.
My own eyes have seen Your salvation
Which You have prepared for all men.
A Light shall reveal to the nations
And the glory of Your people, Israel.
Priest: Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the
dayspring from on high hath visited us; to give light to them
that sit in darkness, and in the shadow of death and to guide
our feet into the way of peace.
Priest: Rest eternal grant unto him, O Lord.
All: And let light perpetual shine upon him.
All: I am the Resurrection and the life; He that believes in
me, though he were dead, yet shall he live and whosoever
lives and believes in me shall never die.
Priest: Lord, have mercy upon us.
All: Christ, have mercy upon us.
Lord, have mercy upon us.
Priest: Our Father who art in heaven, holy be your name. Your
kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our sins as we
forgive those who sinned against us.
Priest: And lead us not into temptation
All: But deliver us from evil
Priest: From the gate of hell
All: Deliver his soul, O Lord.
Priest: May he rest in peace.
All: Amen
Priest: O Lord, hear my cry
All: And let my cry come unto Thee
Priest: The Lord be with you
All: and also with you.
Priest: Let us pray.
O God, whose mercies cannot be numbered:
Accept our prayers on behalf of the soul of
your servant Fr. Angelito, and grant him an
entrance into the land of light and joy,
in the fellowship of thy saints;
through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
All: Amen.
Priest: Rest eternal grant unto him, O Lord.
All: And let light perpetual shine upon him.
Priest: May he rest in peace.
All: Amen.
(The priest, making the sign of the Cross over the body says)
May his soul, + and the souls of all the faithful departed,
through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
All: Amen.
Priest: The God of peace who brought again from the dead our
Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood
of the eternal covenant, make you perfect in every good work to
do His will, working in you that which is pleasing in His sight,
through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever.
Amen.
(As the coffin is brought to the grave, farewell songs will be sung)
MAY THE ANGELS LEAD YOU INTO PARADISE
May the angels lead you into paradise
