Branch/Section The Technology Projects team sits within the Program Delivery division:
The Technology Projects Branch is responsible for facilitating the delivery
of physical infrastructure projects into the public transport system while
working to a whole of project life process and best practice PMF to deliver
the highest quality public transport projects for all Victorians.

Primary purpose of the role


We are currently seeking an experienced Technical Lead with Test Manager/Analyst experience
to join our Digital Work Place Project team here at PTV. In this role you must have a senior level
of knowledge supporting, managing, and implementing Microsoft Windows 10. You will be
responsible for providing technical advice and planning of Windows 10 SOE desktop deployment
within the nominated constraints of time, cost, quality, safety and the environment.

Key success measures of the role


Extensive experience in: Desktop SOE deployments; including application testing and
remediation for the new SOE; application packaging and deployment processes
Experience with Notes to Outlook migrations
Solid experience in delivering integrated business solutions with the Office 365 suite
Confident in managing Application Testing procedures
Advanced knowledge of Windows 10 Operating System
Collaborative management of technical escalations for project related issues
A minimum of 5 years of experience providing technical support directly to users.

Technical capabilities
Essential (must have to be considered for the position)
Mastery of Windows Operating Systems, packaging, deployment and troubleshooting
Excellent knowledge of software and applications, including Microsoft Office, Office 365.
Advanced knowledge of Active Directory and related services, Citrix and Virtual Desktops.
Knowledge of configuring/administering Microsoft Deployment Toolkit.
Knowledge of operating/administering System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) or
comparable tools.
Research complex technical problems, identify, troubleshoot, and communicate technical fixes.
Working knowledge of Mac OS.
Advanced capability in supporting application testing for a new desktop SOE

Desirable (will be well suited to the role)


Excellent interpersonal skills with high level verbal and written communication skills.
Proven ability to maintain strong, effective and positive stakeholder relationships to achieve
work objectives, and to negotiate, and influence at Project team level.
Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively as part of Project team to ensure the
provision of quality and timely project delivery.

Qualifications

Tertiary qualification/Diploma in Computer Science or a related discipline.

Relevant qualifications and Windows SOW deployment experience.
Certification in MCSE, MCSA, and MCITP.
