Two layer steel:

Example: 2 mm + 1.5 mm.

This construction will enhance the maximum load on the

flooring construction. A weld ratio of 1 5 % would be suf-
ficient. The top steel plate should also be spot welded to the
first steel layer, in corners and joints. Depending on the size
of steel plates additional spot welds could be needed.

It will reduce the amount of needed welding and the risk of

buckling largely. And it will clear the risk of flow through of
a possible top layer compound. Recommended max dis-
tance between welds is approx 500 mm Necessary grind-
ing and top layer compound is to be made as the one steel
layer solution.

Enclosing:
For the perimeter of the construction it is recommended to
end the steel plates by 85 bend down, and seal the edges
by appropriate flexible sealing compound; hereby creating
a closed cell construction avoiding possible water ingress
and condensation.

The issue of condensation is important especially if the

deck is exposed to cold weather. The construction will then
need to have a 100 % water and vapour tight encapsulation
over the insulation to avoid condensation in the insulation
from the warmer room.
