Summary
Symptom
After you activated the actual cost component split in Customizing, some
actual cost component split entries are missing.
Especially with a current posting, for example, goods movement the system
may issue error message 'Internal Error in LMLCCS_UPDATEF02 LCL_DB method
get_normvector position A with RC 1 '.
In addition, it may issue error MLCCS099 'Internal error in FORM / FUNCTION
MLCCS_STORNO_TABLES_CREATE in position 1 with RC 4 'if after activation of
the actual cost component split you want to reverse order settlements
without cost component split information.

Reason and Prerequisites

Material ledger is active
o
Actual cost component split was activated in Customizing, however
only after the material ledger production startup.
Solution
If the option of the actual cost component split was already activated
before the production startup material ledger in Customizing, the program
SAPRCKMJ, which is the material ledger production startup, initializes also
the actual cost component split. In this process, the data of the current
and prior period as well as the last period of the previous year are edited
with all currency types edited in the accounting of actual costs.

All materials with price determination 3 get an initial cost
component split of the standard price. If a current cost estimate
exists for the standard price the cost component split of the cost
estimate is transferred. If there is no cost estimate the cost
component split is created through setting of the total of all
amounts into a cost component which corresponds to the consumption
cost element of the material. Typically, this cost component is
referred to a 'Raw material costs' or similar.

For activity or business process (ABC) prices which were updated in
the actual costing inital cost component splits of the plan price
are created.
In Customizing if the actual cost component split option is activated after
the production startup, for example, because ML was already imported in a
former release without actual cost component split the clearing of the
actual cost component split must be be carrying out in a separate step
happens by starting program MLCCS_STARTUP which can be executed online via
Transaction SE38 or SA38 in the background. For data consistency reasons it
is recommended to execute the program at the beginning of a period, when no
goods movements or other postings have been carried out
recommended to close preceding periods if possible. It can not be ensured
that after activation of the actual cost component split periods in which
the cost component split was not active yet can be posted to without
problems.
Program MLCCS_STARTUP executes the steps as above and in addition:

For already collected price differences cost component splits are
generated. These receive the same structure as the standard price
of the material.
If program MLCCS_STARTUP was not executed first and there were already
movements, new materials were created, or periods were moved, actual cost
component split data may be partially exists. In order to receive a consistent
status, we recommend to first delete all existing actual cost component
split data using program MLCCS_RESET and then to reinitialize all existing
actual cost component split data with program MLCCS_STARTUP. Note that in
this case all historical data is lost.
